Same Song, Different Day – Blog Here On Senate Special Session

December 23, 2011

Well, 21 minutes into the hearing we’ve already heard Senate President Ronald Russell say that only items “germane” to the Governor’s financial bill can be discussed.

We wonder what he’s worried about somebody bringing up today?

In any case, we’re getting ready to hear the usual suspects tell the same old story about why after record setting borrowing, we are still broke.

Feel free to blog as this performance unfolds….

The fact of the matter is,at least 70 percent of the political hires who came abord in the last 5 years were unnecessary and could have been done without.Letting them go would be no real loss to the people and the workings
of the instituion in and of itself. The government is bloated–top-heavy–and
    needs pruning.

Why is that so difficult to accept?
