All over the world people are effectively expressing their frustration with bloated governments that are sucking the economic life out of their communities.

Why not here?

Crucians In Focus is joining St. Thomas Activist Dwayne Callwood in calling for a full government shutdown on Wednesday, November 9, 2011, CIF President Michael J. Springer, Jr. announced Tuesday.

“We are calling on all employees, government and otherwise, to refuse to show up at work on November 9 to send a strong message to this Administration that the abuse of the workforce and the destruction of this community has to stop,” Springer said.

A simple, one day statement against the forces that are oppressing this community may have more impact than any of us can imagine.

    UN Resolution 35/118 (Sections 2, 3 and 8)

    2. Member States shall render all necessary moral and material assistance to the peoples under colonial domination in their struggle to exercise their right to self-determination and independence.

    3. Member States shall intensify their efforts to promote the implementation of the resolutions of the General Assembly and of the Security Council relating to Territories and countries under colonial domination.

    8. Member States shall adopt the necessary measures to discourage or prevent the systematic influx of outside immigrants and settlers into Territories under colonial domination, which disrupts the demographic composition of
    those Territories and may constitute a major obstacle to the genuine exercise of the right to self-determination and independence by the people of those Territories.
