Pay Up Or Shut Up!

Sen. Ronald Russell won’t be spinning any of his own tales on local radio stations until he pays his bills.
According to a reliable source, station management at WSTX 970 AM and WMYP 98.3FM were a bit disturbed when they found out that Russell was spreading money around to a local radio host when he owes money to both stations for air time on their stations.
We wondered why we didn’t hear him or his cronies when we tuned in for his weekly dose of spin on WSTX Saturday morning. Not only was he not there, but there was no announcement or explanation for his absence.
Now we know why.
When questioned earlier this week about the allegations that he was paying another radio host to trash his political opponents, Russell denied that any such thing was happening.

But all has been silent since news of some $30,000 in “contracts” being paid by Russell was “leaked” to a St. Croix media outlet.
It’s been a tough week for the Senate president. Between the public display of his feud with a fellow Senator, his less than warm reception by the St. Croix teachers on Friday and now his reported lockout from his radio shows, his only remaining “pulpit” is his throne at the Legislature. And if what we’re hearing is true, that too may only be a temporary venue.
Maybe he’s doing a little “fundraising” at the Democratic Party Event for Nancy Pelosi we hear he and his staff attended Sunday on St. Thomas. And as always, we’d love to hear his version of the story if he’d care to tell us.
But we caution the station owners not to hold out too much hope for repayment – this guy owes close to $100,000 in back taxes.
So get in line.
If we are all lucky, Ronnie and Chucky will manage to finish off each other’s careers. All of their posturing and finger pointing and accusing only show how useless and untrustworthy they both are. What an embarrasing example of leadership this is.

some people play to the crowd,they will tell you anything you want to hear, the strangest thing is how cruicans reelected chuckie after she defrauded them, how could ths happen, what spin could anyone put on our people to have them cast a vote for such a crook.
The answer lies in the perpetuation of thefear of out siders taking over, the myth that non locals will take over and the people will loose stcroix this myth is perpetuted by two grups, those who own most of our land and thosewhos familys seem to occupy every top positon in our goverment. you know the names and you know that they are not elected by the people they stay in power no matter who gets elected. chukie is a puppet and the product of that system
