All That Just For Alvin Williams? We Will Wait And See. In The Meantime, Be Careful What You Wish For…

October 5, 2011

Sen. Alvin WilliamsSpeculation is flying about the Federal Investigators’ visit to the office of Sen. Alvin Williams in the St. Thomas Legislature Wednesday morning.

An ABC Online News Report confirmed that members of the Internal Revenue Service, the Drug Enforcement Administration and and US Marshals offices descended upon the Legislature today and that a spokesperson would only say the activities were part of an “investigation.” (link below)

It s our understanding that indeed Williams’  office was searched and that paperwork and some computer equipment was reportedly removed.

The obvious speculation is that this is connected with Williams’ reported defrauding of the system at the Phoenix Online University by having a staff worker do the work that led to his online degree. And that may be part of what the FBI is here to investigate. After all, as a CIF blogger pointed out, when his (Williams’) cousin took to the airwaves revealing her version of how the Senator acquired his academic credentials, he responded by telling her to take her information to the proper authorities.

And maybe she did. We’ve placed the link to the story we ran last May when Williams told his cousin to “take it to the FBI.”

However, we will be most deeply surprised if the Federal Government, with all the malfeasance and corruption that’s going on around here, marshaled its resources for the sole purpose of busting Williams because he lied to get his degree.

So rather than go any farther down the “speculation” path, we’re going to watch very closely as events unfold over the next few days and weeks.

As far as we know, the Broadbanditos are still due in Washington on Thursday to explain what they’re trying to do with that $68 million in suspended federal money that is supposed to be used for the Broadband project.

But we would have paid good money to be inside the minds of some of the more prominent players in the Virgin Islands corruption regime when the boys in the black jackets stormed the Legislature.

We believe they’ll be returning to visit more of the people who occupy that building, and some who live a little higher up the hill.

We will wait and see.

So Alvin what do you have to say for yourself now. Been very quiet since the FBI raid on your office. The people are waiting to hear more of your lies. Save yourself, you know what they say all you have to do is grab one rat’s tail and it will definitely squeal. Are you about ready to squeal Alvin? On the rest of your majority Senators and their wrong doings or better yet do you have the good on Junior?

    Hey Gary,

Chuckie was supposed to pay her $178,000 in back taxes and serve 600 hours of community service. It was her sentence. Can you find out who her parole officer is and why she has not been put in jail for not fulfilling her sentence???

It seems Ronald Russel and attorney Michael Joseph gave the public an idea of how Ronnie and the Senate intends to challenge to legality of the FBI’s raid on the legislator. Today on 970 am attorney Joseph took the following position as to what he perceives as an “illegal search and seizure” . Keep in mind this comes a day after he appeared on Mario’s show with a half hour rant/pr spin on his position in this matter. This all is reminiscent of the full court spin put on by the administration during the election. Attorney Joseph’s main angle of attack is that the Virgin Islands is still a “colony” of the United States and that the only court that should have purview in the matter is the Territorial (local) Court and not the Federal Court.

Only when it’s convenient or advantageous to the administration. Attorney Joseph took off on the status and constitution issues the VI faces and stated that had the VI not been in a colonial status or with a constitution in place the Federal Government could not place on foot in the halls of the legislator. But wait?…. Was it not the De Jongh administration that set out to destroy any hopes of a constitution? How ironic, don’t you think?

So now the stage is set, and it will likely play out numerous embarrassing moments for the Virgin Islands and her people. John De Jongh told the Federal government to kiss his a$$ and now comes Ronald Russel and the entire Senate body. One can only deduct that the Senators , The Board of elections and John De Jongh has lots to hide. I would like to hear some feedback from persons in the legal field in response to attorney Joseph’s approach.

Russell is an idiot. His behaviour is very suspicious. What is he trying to hide. A bunch of no good crooks and holigans.

Yesterday, Atty. Joseph asked Mario on 1620 am the following question: “Mario, do you really think deJongh is as evil as people believe he is.”

I don’t recall Mario’s answer, but Mario should have answered…… he is evil enough!

You remember the question but not the answer?

    @ Anonymous at 12:48 pm,

I don’t think there was an answer.

The atty. seemed more interested in a “monologue” than a “dialogue.”

    Get it?
