Thanks To Our Bloggers Who Made Democratic Debate “Live Chat” A Success!
CIF would like to thank all of you for helping make our first “real time” foray into chatting a success!!
The chat room of course will stay open. We’re going to digest what we heard tonight, pull out the highlight quotes and audio clips, and will post an updated account for you to talk about over the weekend.
We know what the headline will be.
“Three Candidates, A Rat, And An Elephant!”
Thanks again for your participation and please cast your vote in the poll posted in the sidebar.

It’s not over. The electoral process is still subject to compromise unless the Board I’d Elections is forced to comply with federal law.
It’s not over until voter anger is turned into voter turn out.
It’s not over until the kangaroo court dismisses the charges permanently.
It’s not over if the challengers and their supporters do not unite to remove the tyrant.
It’s not over until the retro letters come out.
Sleep not.
I drove by and saw over a hundred people in the parking lot at about 4PM. I sure did not look “laterally” empty at all. Remember this is only the primary where the winner takes all. So go figure. I am a “worker” and nobody ordered me to be there and nobody can fire a classified employee for political reasons anyway. I have observed events of other candidates as well and have noticed the deJongh/Francis always seems to be a kinder and gentler affair. the other ones seems like a bunch of vulture sitting on the fence waiting for some miracleto happen so they can feast of the remains.
He had a small group. But considreing that in St Croix his event last week failed miserably and knowing that in 2006 this event in St Thomas has approximatley 1000 people.
The small crowd of 100 people to include campaign worker does not bode well for John de Jongh.
I was told that there have been over 4,000 newly registered democrats in the past two months. Who do you think these ‘new’ democrats will be voting for? De Jongh? I doubt so.
If I’m not mistaken, in 2006, de Jongh received less than 5,000 votes in the Primary. There are only 2 ways de Jongh can possible win on September 11: 1) if the Board of elections cheat the paper ballots and rig the machines in de Jongh’s favor and 2) If the majority of votes are split between the opposing teams allowing de Jongh to slip into victory with a few more votes.
Unite candidates! For the betterment of us all, we are asking everyone to unite!

Is this the kinder and “gentler” deJongh/Francis affair that they always seem to have? Look at photo link!
You de Jongh spin doctors just don’t get it. IT’S OVER!
de Jongh you are a low down LIAR and Commander & Thief.
The evidence against John P. de Jongh, Jr. is overwhelming and INDEFENSIBLE.

After the recent debate between Donastorg, Luz, and Jimmy a split of votes is becoming more unlikely.
Donastorg has hands down made it clear to Democratic voters that he is the best choice for change on September 11. Democrats will make their votes count and will not spoil their own chances to rid the VI of de Jongh by voting for a candidate that they know will have no impact of ridding the VI of the tyrant.
The de Jongh regime is over.
8:44 am, I pray that your words come to pass in the physical realm, in Jesus Name. Have a blessed Sunday!

Those kinder, gentler people are criminals who have learned how to bluff and lie well. Don’t let the facade of calm and class fool you, those people are truly in a panic. Not only do they fear losing their cushy jobs but they must also fear getting indicted along with the King Rat. Anyone with integrity is long gone from John deRat’s campaign.
CIF, I realize that you are not the Weather Channel, however; would it be possible for you to give us updates on Hurricane Earl?
A friend told me that it’s a strong possibility it is a threat to the Virgin Islands.
@ Anon 8:52
Here is your weather update:
A strong tropical storm by the name of Donastorg/Baptiste is sweeping over the Virgin Islands. Our satellites are detecting what appears to be de RAT and his campaign of rodents running for cover. It is expected that tropical storm Donastorg/Baptiste will rid the VI of de RAT and his rodents once and for all!
Stay tune for further updates.
@anon 9:02am-
Thats the Funniest thing Ive heard yet. Good Job I needed that!
Donastorg/Baptiste 2010!! **Your Choice For Change!!**

Here’s the most recent info we see on Earl. Looks like the BVI is in the most immediate path but it definitely looks like something to keep an eye on.

@ CIF Website Administration
You may want to consider creating a “link” on this website to the National Hurricane Center for your bloggers use during the remaining of the 2010 hurricane season.
http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/
Hope this helps as we continue to monitor the brewing storms in the Atlantic and the polling places on September 11.

Imagine the de RAT administration have not issued any warning to the territory. Guess the rodents are too busy jumping ship.
CAPTAIN YOUR SHIP IS SINKING!
Anonymous 8:40 am, that picture was hilarious. De Jongh and his supporters are a mess!

Hurricane Earl is a mininmul hurricane passing well to the north of St. Croix. Earl will not seriously be a problem for STX….what in the the world is he going around like chicken little scaring the crap out of the people that Redfield is doing right now on the radio. Does he get some sort of thrill out of this. I predict the governator will order a total curfew even though on STX none will be warranted and the business sector will suffer. We on St. Croix have been through the worst and now how to deal with some gusty winds. but those who get some kind of ego trip out of a passing storm just have to shine the spotlights on themselves.
Not sure under which topic I should be posting this comment, but this, I imagine is as good as any,and it has to do with an article appearing
in Saturday’s Daily News, entitled ‘GERS Needs More Funds’.
As a former government employee who has contributed to the retirement fund and now receiving benefits therefrom,I’m always interested in the general health and welfare of the system when it comes to the funding OF and the borrowing FROM that source….which many view as an endless pot of gold.
The fact is,however, the system is woefully unfunded (thanks to the government’s massive indebtedness to it) and will collapse within the next 20 years if nothing is done to correct the situation….and that assessment comes as no surprise as that has been known for many years.
So,its budget time again and I’m noticing, based on what I’ve read in said article, that, rather than making arrangements for the government to whittle down its massive obligations to the GERS,it is unbelievably
suggesting that in order for it to balance its bloated budget, its rate of contributions be REDUCED from 17.5% to 14.0%..with no mention of a corresponding mandatory payment to the GERS.
Look, the GERS may not receive ‘an annual appropriation from the central government’,but it sure as heck needs regular government remittances of the funds it automatically deducts from each and every classified employee’s paycheck every payday in order for it (the GERS)
to meet its obligations and thereby reduce its unfunded liability.
In order to solve the problem of unfunded liability, the government has to as of a date certain (a)remit payroll deducted contributions
to the GERS within 3 working days of said deductions and (b)submit to a schedule of payments in writing off the millions upon millions it currently owes the system.
Senator Bassinger is right when he says wise decisions must be made in order to avert/avoid the perfect storm.
