Political Forum

July 21, 2010

electionsIt is clear that you, our faithful Crucians In Focus readers, want and need a place where you can discuss the candidates, their potential running mates, campaign strategy, etc.

But, as difficult as it may be to believe in this torrid political season, there are some who would like to comment on the topic of the story that is posted, and not have a political conversation in the midst of, oh, say a budget or constitutional debate.

So today we inaugurate the ”Political Forum” post as the place where you can post your politically based comments that don’t relate to the other posts we have on the site. It’s an open forum and, while it will be subject to the same rules as we apply to the rest of your comments, they can be general in nature do not have to relate to any particular story or topic.

The link to this post will be permanently posted in the right hand sidebar on this page so that as we add other articles you can always get to this post by clicking on the link provided.

We hope this will give our politicos a place to post at any time, and provide an uninterrupted opportunity to all of our readers to carry on a virtual conversation on a specific topic based on the other articles we produce.

As always, we welcome your comments.

Thanks.

“at least donastorg and dejongh have a degree..” who are you you really supporting?

  2. Anonymous on October 2, 2010 at 2:35 pm

I did not say he did graduate studies, I said he completed a program which he was awarded a certificate for completion. Stop putting words that you want to hear come out my mouth Vegan. Your candidate is arrogant, ignorant and power hungry. His over confidence will be his downfall on November 2nd. Mapp is a liar and has been so from day one. He was in senate and after he showed his colors they said hell NO you have to go and he was kicked out. The people have proven that they don’t want Mapp in office. Look at his track record over the last 16 years. Let’s not forget, he is now threatening the Donastorg camp and family members for not endorsing him. Are we sure that we want someone like this in office? I think not. I would rather take my chances and see the incumbent another 4 years, or put a man who is proven to do good for the virgin islands (Donastorg) than to see Mapp go in and add more nails to the already nailed coffin. Mapp is no good, and the people know it.

    @ anon 2:07

There is another choice. That choice is the write in option that a voter had the luxury to consider. I am going to write in Donastorg/Baptiste on November 2nd. Who are you to say there aren’t any more choices besides dethroning John and voting for Mapp. When will the Mapp camp understand that we aren’t endorsing them and we are going to write in our candidates name. The more and more you Mapp supporters blog on this site is the more and more we are starting to realize that you are terrified of a write in campaign. It also shows how disgruntle you are at the fact that Donastorg isnt endorsing you. Keep up the good work! :)

Why was is ok for the owner of Pueblo Supermarkets to thief $1.3 million of electricity? He agreed to eliminate plastic bags in exchange for jail time.

    Hello?

  5. Anonymous on October 2, 2010 at 3:42 pm

Donastorg is as dumb as they come. What a fake.

  6. Anonymous on October 2, 2010 at 4:41 pm

jamila you should be the last one talking about anyone stealing. Thief!

    hello?

Anon 2:47 Are you saying that Harvard graduate school of government let Mapp do a program without having a degree or passing a test? Think before you answer.
And tell me how Mapp asking Foncie to be his lt makes Mapp Foncie’s enemy?
And why do you spend more time bashing Mapp than deJongh?

  8. Anonymous on October 2, 2010 at 5:58 pm

Who is terrified of a write in campaign? Half of Donastorg’s votes came from Mapp supporters on St. Croix. The other half just wanted Donastorg period. Of the half that wanted Donastorg, one half of them will swing Mapp because they hate deJongh. The other quarter will write in Donastorg. Either way those votes do not go to deJongh like they did in 2006. Who’s terrified now?

  9. Anonymous on October 2, 2010 at 6:46 pm

Terrified? Let me show you what’s terrifying.

Map needs Donastorg votes to dethrone John. Confirm or deny?

    Who’s terrified now?

Matt 26:2 Jesus says, As you know, PASSOVER begins in two days, and the SON OF MAN WILL BE HANDED OVER TO BE CRUCIFIED.

Luke 18:31-34 Taking the Twelve Disciples aside, Jesus said, Listen, we’re going up to Jerusalem, where all the Predictions of the Prophets concerning the Son of Man will come true. He will be handed over to the Romans, and He will be MOCKED, TREATED SHAMEFULLY, AND SPIT UPON. They will FLOG HIM WITH A WHIP AND KILL HIM, BUT ON THE THIRD DAY HE WILL RISE AGAIN.

Psalm 118:22 The stone that the Builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.

Matt 26:59 Leading priests and the entire high council were trying to find witnesses who would lie about Jesus, so they could put Him to death.

John 10:31-33 Once again the people picked up stones to kill Him. Jesus said, “At my Father’s direction I have done many good works. For which one are you going to stone Me?” The replied, “We’re stoning you not for any good work, but for blasphemy! You, a mere man, claim to be God”.

Luke 22:65 They threw all sorts of terrible Insults at Him.

John 1:11 He came to His own people, and even they Rejected Him.

Matt 26:56 The Disciples Deserted Him and Fled.

Matt 26:31 On the way, Jesus told them, Tonight all of you will desert Me. For the Scriptures say, ‘God will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.

Matt 26:74-75 Peter said, I swear by God, I don’t know the man.”And immediately the rooster crowed. Suddenly, Jesus’ words flashed through Peter’s mind: “Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.”

Psalm 55:12-14 It is not an enemy who taunts me – I could bear that. It is not my foes who so arrogantly insult me – I could have hidden from them. Instead, it is you – my equal, my companion and close friend.

Matt 26:14-15 Then Judas Iscariot, on of the Twelve Disciples, went to the leading priests and asked, “how much will you pay me to betray Jesus to you?” And they gave Him thirty pieces of silver.

Isa 50:6 I offered my back to those who beat me and my Cheeks to those who pulled out my Beard. I did not hide my face from mocker and spitting.

So deJongh betrayed his fellow Democrat Donastorg based on this scripture? I agree. Mapp Sekou 2010

  12. Anonymous on October 2, 2010 at 6:53 pm

    Deny. That was 2006.

  13. Anonymous on October 2, 2010 at 7:06 pm

And guess what? In 2006 he still lost the election even when Donastorg votes swung his way. So what makes you think you will be successfull now without Donastorgs endorsement? You won’t, St.Thomas and St.john is voting for dejough/francis or voting for Donastorg/Baptiste as a write in. Sayonara!

  14. Anonymous on October 2, 2010 at 7:08 pm

Ok then we lose and deJongh wins happy

  15. Anonymous on October 2, 2010 at 7:14 pm

I’d rather take my chances with dejough than let Mapp go in there and make things worse. No, not happy but I will be satisfied.

  16. Anonymous on October 2, 2010 at 7:16 pm

I chased his crazy behind off the site using reason. Either that or he went to the Mapp Sekou campaign jam at Villa LaReine after having seen the light.

WRITE IN DONASTORG/BAPTISTE FOR GOVERNOR ON NOVEMBER 2 AND MAPP FOR THE SENATE

  18. Anonymous on October 2, 2010 at 7:18 pm

Wolverine! I finally got it out of you, anon 7:14. I will be refencing this post every day if you you come back here with your anti-Mapp trash. I feel like Perry Mason…. Yay!

  19. Anonymous on October 2, 2010 at 7:26 pm

Kenneth Map is the only Senator to ever be thrown out of the Virgin Islands Legislature. He was voted out by his own Legislative colleagues.

In a radio commercial today on 1620 Kenneth Mapp said that he was HONEST! This seals the cake. the real kenmapp.com

  20. Anonymous on October 2, 2010 at 7:28 pm

Wolverine you say eh? Well guess what? You vindictive and malicious Mapp supporters will feel and hear reality in the up coming weeks. Stay tuned!

You mess with Senator Donastorg you mess with us.
