“Unity, Accountability and Social Justice” Theme Of May 15 March and Rally on St. Thomas

May 10, 2010

It is hard to imagine a more appropriate time for a march and rally aimed at at peacefully addressing the serious concerns facing the Virgin islands community.

All Virgin Islanders are urged to join in a march and rally on Saturday, May 15, entitled “Unity, Accountability and Social Justice.” The event is open to all Virgin Islanders who have concerns on any topic and begins at 10 a.m. at Market Square on St. Thomas. The march will end at Emancipation Garden where speakers will address pressing concerns facing the VI Community.

Organizers have asked participants to wear green to symbolize a fresh beginning. Participants are also invited to bring placards and signs highlighting their areas of concern. All community groups from the Territory are encouraged to attend and participate and organizers estimate that the event will end around 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

On a serious note, lets stop bashing the bad candidates and start supporting the good ones. The bad ones have big money behind of them and we must all step up to help those who are on our side. I am going to give a little something to the candidates I support this time around and everyone reading this blog should think about it.

I will not vote for MAPP or deJongh/Francis 2010. The current administration is a thief and Mapp’s campaign does not impress me.

The march is about unity? Why are some candidates conducting a voter’s registration drive? Unity means everybody together.Haters just want to be together with other haters. The angel wants to see enemies hug and hold hands. Will all candidates be welcomed? The angel wish for all candidates to show up and discuss solutions

Warning to unity march organizers, the Mapp campaign is planning to insert themselves into the march this Saturday. Kenneth Mapp is tell his supporters to wear their Mapp campaign t-shirts to the march.

Mapp you just don’t have no limits to your shameful disregard for the people. Yes we also know that your planning to encourage this type of self serving behavior at your campaign meeting tonight on St. Thomas. Mapp you know there is no way we Crucians would allow you to come in our march and mock it up with your present.

St. Thomians should be darm mad at Mapp!

if mapp does that he will be ostricized like john. We need to focus on unitying to get rid of dejongh. Everyone should be wearing green to represent a change from this current administration.

Saturday unity march will indeed be the test of Ken Mapp. The people of the VI will see for themselves if Mapp will stand with the people or will he put HIS own self interest on top of the people.

My bet is that Mapp will FAIL the people again and have his campaign supporters show up in HIS campaign t-shirts.

Mapp cannot help himself because he is no damn good!

I’m really liking the Mapp commercial jingle that’s playing on the radio.

    “We can do better.
Ken Mapp, Ken Mapp, Ken Mapp, Ken Mapp,
    Ken Mapp, Ken Mapp,
    Ken Mapp, Ken Mapp,

    Come leh we
    Mapp dem up”

no one cares about any jingle dats old time politics and all of us smarter than that dis time around. Remember ur signs and lets show dejongh that we the people run dis show. Hell no john must go!

Bup! Bup! Bup! Time to Mapp them up !

  16. Anonymous on May 13, 2010 at 9:06 pm

Mapp just got done begging the hand full of supporters that showed up at his meeting in St. Thomas. Mapp was heard pleading and begging supporters to wear his campaign T-shirts to the march. Mapp told his supporter that he don’t care what anyone think of him just wear the T-shirt.

Mapp appears to be losing his mind. What a desperate man.

We will find out if the Mapp t shirt rumor is true come Saturday. If it turns out to be true Mapp will be done because the people will really get a eye witness account of how selfish this man is. Mapp will pay at the polls.
