Note To Our Readers: Enough Already With The Gay Comments
Seriously people. This is ridiculous.
The past few days has seen a severe decline into smut posts that we simply are not going to tolerate.
We have said this before and we mean it more than ever now. This site exists to give our readers a forum to discuss issues that affect public policy and other social issues that affect our lives as Virgin Islanders.
That does not include the sexual orientation of any individual who is discussed here and some of you should be ashamed of yourselves for the slime you’ve been posting. Nearly half of the comments posted this weekend are in the process of being moderated – and that’s simply uncalled for.
Our position is that is does not and should not matter in evaluating fitness for office or anything else, and we will not allow it to become the central issue in this critical election year. Period.
We had cranked up our filters to attempt to control some of the insanity this election cycle has already generated. And in light of this recent activity, we’re notifying all of you to a change we must make.
Moderation will be increased to assure that the comments here remain appropriate. We have a great blogging community and we want them to continue coming here to express their views. But we won’t allow the few of you (and believe it or not, it is just a few) to soil the waters any further.
Repeat offenders will be permanently blocked and will not be allowed to blog.
Now, can we get back to the real discussions?

Are you Jamila Russel? I suspect if you are and wanted others to know you would have written your real name instead of an alias. Sensibility, that was not OK to call her out like that (if it is her).
Mr. Mario Moorehead and Mr. Bert Bryan are two of the most brave, intelligent and honest Virgin Islanders we have. Ask yourself or better yet ASK THEM, why they did NOT support Kenneth Mapp in 2006 and do NOT support Kenneth Mapp in 2010.
You all keep saying that Donastorg should have thrown all of his support behind Mapp. What makes you think that Mapp would be any better than deJongh? Mapp has a history of corruption and dishonesty. Why are you so angry that Foncie did not support deJongh or Mapp, both of them are BAD for the Virgin Islands. I could understand your anger if Donastorg didn’t support someone that was worth supporting, but Mapp is NOT that person.
You continue to spread your lies and say that Donastorg help deJongh get into office. When the truth is that everyone voted for who they wanted to. I for one, voted for Mapp. Thanks to you all, it’s a mistake I will NEVER make again. Keep it up and continue to alienate and vex Donastorg and all his followers. Haven’t you heard that St Thomas and St John supports Donastorg? Mapp, you were over there on Saturday, I suggest you inform your camp.
And guess what? Donastorg also has GREAT backing in St Croix. I have been to the meetings and neither Mapp’s or deJongh’s people can dispute the amount of people that attend. Yes, Donastorg has you all scared. And, no matter how many lies you spread and poli-tricks you play. Donastorg will prevail.
Mapp, you and your camp on doing a fine job of losing the 2010 election. Keep up the good work.

No I am not Jamila Russell and you will learn that a lot of us feel like this, so you will be confusing and calling out people unmistakably. Jamila was looking at the vote ratio’s on her show this morning commenting that Donastorg & Mapp had more votes combine than dewolf. That’s where I started looking at the #’s and I knew back then we could have defeat dewolf, because the majority of people didn’t choose him. If you could get your head so far up your a*# you could look at it objectively.
My goodness, such fowl language. Did I hit a nerve?
PS: what time is Jamila show on the air? Is it after Jimmy?

I only asked if it was Jamila because a blogger called Sensibility seemed to refer that it was.
Mario supported Mapp in 2006. That is a fact.

I was looking at your #’s and I did a little math calculating and you are so right Jamila Russell.
Combine votes’ for Mapp/Foncie 16,336, Beats dewolf 15,941.
dewolf only got in the run-off additional 730 votes
while Mapp garnered 3646. I believe if Foncie and Mapp join forces 2006 we would have defeated dewolf. Clearly it’s in black and white. If Foncie had? Where would we be today?
Maybe my sentence was written wrong. I should have said, (referring to I Understand), I was looking at your #’s for the election and I did a little calculating, and Jamila was right on target this morning on her talk show.

When most sane people are trying to get a good sleep for work the next day. Mapp’s campign workers are up all hours of the night bickering and trying to convince people to support Mapp.
Look at the hours they are commenting. Crazy!

I have it on good authority that those are deJongh’s people. They think it’s hilarious what they’re doing. You can’t fool all the people all the time! You guys need to tell whatshername to keep her mouth shut. You never know who’s listening.

all of the i know that the Dejongh people are trying every low down trick in the book to help him win but it will not work on people like me who are looking for some one to do the right thing so keep up all of the comments about other people and do not sit down with the governor and tell him that he should come clean and you all will see come Nov.2010. we the people of St.Croix are sick of these games and we will not let you people play them any more. keep it up
