So Now You Want To Be Visible?

Sen. Michael Thurland

Sen. Michael Thurland

Since his election, Senator Michael Thurland has been a staunch supporter of the current administration and their policies.

Suddenly, in the past few weeks, he has made himself visible on the airwaves, decrying the long-standing road conditions in Williams Delight.

We find it curious that after all this time, and with all the issues surrounding the current administration, that the good Senator would pick now as the time to become visible on an issue. Is his concern real, or is it just an election year?

Do you think Michael Thurland will be reelected after being an avid supporter of the deJongh Administration?

Who is Judy Frick? Apparently, she has declared her intention to run for senate as a Democrat. Is this the person who seems to run the Crime Watchers program? Does anyone know more about her?

She is this really briss(sp) woman who thinks she knows everything. She also fancies herself a singer (she really is not) She had a part in bringing Crimesstoppers to the territory.

I think Persona Non Grata is on to something here. CIF can collect a list of all the people who are running for governor/senator/delegate. You can produce a thorough profile on all of the candidate so that we will have a better idea on the people to vote for.

    @ PNG:

Julie Fricks is scary. I know of person through a friend, I have been sent her emails…egomaniac…(maybe CIF would like to see those emails?)

Fricks has stated (in emails) in triumph that she has a direct number for our soon to be relieved governor. If she is so proud of her connection to the gov, then in my books she has no credibility. So what, she was part of crime stoppers. Big deal, so are alot of people. She might even try to use the new 911 system as something she did: BULL, pure bull.

But, we will be okay, as this woman will never be elected into position. She has done nothing for the grassroots people, and those are the ones who vote. She may portray herself as important with the elite community, but those people don’t give up their right to vote stateside, so even though she thinks she has support, she doesn’t have the support that counts.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, Fricks drags Sanes around by deh cahones, maybe that’s why Sanes can’t make a good decision for himself on behalf of the citizens who gave hin the opportunity.

If you get Fricks, you also get DeJongh, Sanes, Thurland, W James.

Funny, Fricks runs around saying how she is such good friends with Nelson, I wonder where the chips will fall now…I think she just used Nelson for her ego, not for her beliefs. How is she going to support now???

There won’t be much change in the senatorial races. People focussing on Government House in 2010.

It all depends on who the list of challengers are. If they resemble the cast of characters who ran in 2008, I dare say, you just might be right.

Judi Frick’s need to save herself some embarassment. Her personal history eliminates her from the competition.

Is it your belief that the position of a senator is of such high esteem that whomever holds that position shouldn’t live in williams Delight?

  12. ms.caribbean diva on May 16, 2010 at 4:09 pm

    same thing im sayin wellwa!

In my opinion, such a small territory does not need 15 senators. If states as big as Florida, Alaska and Texas only have two, why do we have 15? Or at most, let’s just have one for the 3 main islands. Too much people hottin up seat and doin absolutely NOTHING.

  13. Anonymous on May 16, 2010 at 4:26 pm

Well, we can look forward to two senators being eliminated from the Senate. Nelson and Foncie will never be elected as governors.Nelson is crazy and Foncie is dumb.

  14. Anonymous on May 16, 2010 at 5:06 pm

Anyone that supports the Administration should not call others dumb.

Well is a pity to know that Senator Thurland lives in Williams Delight and they still has pending road problems. With all the kissing up he has done to this administration, he should have fix the roads where he live. Now who is dumb!!!!!! Wow, a senator who forgot to atleast fix his road in his area. Someone should have told him, that’s the first thing you do as senator. One term for sure.

I really can’t remember the last time the Legislature had a session. Are they bankrupt of ideas?Lacking leadership? or just don’t give a ….. They can never justify their big budget to me, what a waste!

  20. Anonymous on July 13, 2010 at 10:45 pm

The last session was the vote for the borrowing bill back in early May. How could you forget that one. Maybe your brain needs to be re-calibrated.
