What Do You Want To Hear From Governor deJongh Tonight?
It may well be the most anticipated State of The Territory Address in Virgin Islands history.
When Governor John P. deJongh, Jr., takes the podium Monday night, under the shadow of the Inspector General’s report on “Mafoliegate,” the eyes and ears of the Territory and beyond will be focused on him and every word will be heard and analyzed for days to come.
We’d like to know what you want to know from the Governor tonight. What topics should he cover? What issues should he address, and what questions would you ask about how we as Virgin Islanders move forward from here?
The floor is yours.

Senator Nelly O Reilly needs to run for congress and get Donna out of there she and all is part of the shebangle, she and her brother deh in the mix.Like Mighty Pat say,GET RID A DEM!
Governor deGreat:
My fellow Virgin Islanders,
Although the IG Report indicates that funds were improperly used to provide me with security, let me assure you that there has been no finding that a crime has been committed. The 1G has been influenced by senators who wish to divert attention from their immoral conduct. All the facts have not been given to the public. Senator Dowe drafted an amendment that appropriated funds for such purpose;however, this fact was overlooked in the report. Nevertheless, I am committed to paying for some of the security measures installed at my home. This decision was made prior to the IG being released.
I believe that when excessive amounts of public monies have been used, it is important for me to do my part to send the message that we must reduce spending. The previous administration has squandered public funds and have raided the treasury. As I promised, I will continue to fight corruption. There are several investigations taking place to put the rest of the Turbull’s bandits behind bars. My administration will make sure that all Turnbull’s bandits are jailed.
Be reminded that the U.S. Virgin Islands has been blessed by my accomplishments during a short time. The Diageo and Cruzan Rum deal will provide more rum rebates which translates to more employment opportunities and better government services. We are very close to the promised land, but it will take another four years to get there. Together we can reach the promised land….
I cannot understand how even now, some people would continue to look at you with a straight face, and defend the things the governor is doing. In the three years John deJongh has been in office, how much progress has been made in this government?! We ended 2009 with the highest homicide rate in the history of the VI, we have so many businesses shutting down, our education system is in a mess, so many department building are literally falling apart, and the deals that the government has approved (Diageo, Cruzan Rum, Alpine) are debatable at best. He better not use the economic downturn as an excuse for the chaos that is going in these islands, because he had so much time to turn all of this around! There is nothing he can say to convince me otherwise.
Well, let me see. From all I’ve heard and read Sir John sounds and acts very much like the earlier ruler,Sir Roy,who wanted his subjects to believe that ‘the lighter the hue is the more man knew’.
So,it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if this Knighted One,Sir John, plopped himself before the camera, looked you dead in the eye and told you…I AM NOT A CROOK…and goes
on to recite all the good he and his cohorts have done for you,
the people of the virgin Islands.
He may also try to minimize the findings and ramifications of the I.G.Report and make it look like he’ll be doing you a huge favor in returning a fraction of your money. But
that is how people of such ilk operates.
In closing he’ll try to convince you that of all the candidates ruuning for Governor,he stands head and shoulders above them and that you,by virtue of having a job (that would be government workers),better support his re-election or he may just ‘redirect’ the monies appropriated for the payment of salaries to another home of his that needs upgrading.
I’ll be listening!!

What happen they put a lock on your lips, but forgot to tie the hands. I was a little sad that I didn’t hear you this morning on Jimmy as usual, but in another way I was glad, because you never share no real intelligent information that would be enlightening. Just want you to know we ain’t stopping till heads are going to roll. We need national attention on this matter so that we are not closed off to the rest of 50 states and territories. Go and blog on the national media websites and even send the information to Congress. Let’s get some national attention.
Apprently you missed her on Roger Morgan’s show claiming that the Feds are now involved in a political conspiracy against John Percy deJongh. DELUSIONAL!!!!!! The pickings must be damned good for this level of desperation!
Correction: Apparently…
I want to hear John Greaux come to the mike and say,”Gov. deJongh declines to deliver his state of the territory speech tonight because he and I were pelted with rotten eggs as we made our way to the senate building.”
I agree we need national attention on this matter. The Governor is being unfairly targeted. He has not committed any crime and he should not have to pay for his security. This governor has accomplished more in three years than what the previous governor has done. Turnbull left the government in shambles, but deGreat has managed to put it back on tract. The bandits from the previous administration are angry and scare that they can no longer abuse the government. This matter is simply retaliation for deGreat putting an end to government corruption.
‘Anonymous’,based on your comment I’m begining to believe the saying ‘when Washington sneezes’ the people of the V.I. ‘catches a cold’.Just as Obama continues to blame George W.Bush for his
(Obama’s) failures, you are saying deJongh has every reason to blame Turnbull for His mistakes.Got you.Nobody wants to accept blame and responsibiltiy.
The names have changed, but the hijinks remain the same. After three years, it’s time for a new administration and some real progress toward ending corruption.
Can we please get rid of some senator’s this year as well?
In the scheme of things, $450K is peanuts to what we are facing with the $450M Alpine debacle. We need to see who got some bucks to approve that one as well………including the gov among others.
I am also hearing Mrs. gov has gotten $10K a month from the lottery…..and for what? Guess we now know why a sleaze ball like Ricky Francois who stole and gave money out with no accountability in housing for 12 year’s is now the ‘appointed’ one over the lottery making $90K/year. Payback all around.
We wanna hear he is not seeking Re Election..THIEF!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shame on you John.
Oh boy here comes rafie again weh he NONSENCE!
Wait a minute! What is Rafie talking about some glitch in the machine? He need a hang up the phone!
Poor Raffie
I think when he lost his eye sight, he lost some sensibility too.
Raffie has a personal gripe and none of us care. We want it to stop it’s very annoying.
He feels empowered by running with this issue and there are people pushing him who are too coward to come forward themselves. I believe Raffie, since he lost his eye sight has gain some kind of satisfaction in knowing that because he can’t see peoples facial expression of annoyance or disappointment he is nonsensitive to how he expresses himself. It’s like when your in a dark room and you say what you have to say about a person, but when lights come on and you have to look them in the eye you are not so brave.
Boy michael they don’t want to give you a chance to speak your mind bwoy, redfield is a hater.
OK!
I think this governor needs to be removed by any and all legal recources. He did not empress me with his past promises and proposed plans. What a pompous Jack***.
Leh me here some more, bring them!
