A Quick Look Back Before Moving Ahead
Well welcome to 2010!
Crucians In Focus is primed and ready for the events this election year is sure to bring so just to refresh your memories, here’s a quick look back before we charge ahead.
And you know what they say – the more things change, the more they remain the same! Enjoy.

I have just heard that Senate President Hill has cancelled the contract with Mr. Pemberton’s station.
This is an outrage and cannot be allowed to go unchallenged.
How can the St. Croix senators allow a St. Thomas senator to do such a thing?
WE DEMAND THE APPROPRIATE CORRECTION TO THIS MATTER!
Follow the money! Hill has yet to be challenged on his other job representing his home island of Dominica, how much time is he spending there flying on our tax dollars and how much money is he making off of doing such?…..unless we demand Frazer and John Abrahamson follow the law and get the financial disclosures submitted and TO THE VOTING PUBLIC, BEFORE the election, we can expect more of the same graft from our elected officials.
A lady just called Jimmy’s show, and said that she was invited to the Legislature’s Christmas Party. While she was sitting at a table, Senator Hill passed by her table with his 11-year-old daughter and another person and made a comment that she is the woman who is trying to destroy his career. The woman was so offended, she would have fight with Mr. Hill if it wasn’t for the young girl.
It is obvious that the governor and the Senators and feeling threatened because we finally found the courage to stand up to them, and they sensed that they are in serious trouble this election year. We must stay the course.
I too heard the comment.
To me, I will interpret Hill’s response to the lady as true fear and community intimidation. Hill needs to open his eyes and ears.
To the Lady: THANK YOU!!! Great job, keep up the good hard work. I will be joining you.
I cannot believe my ears: I just heard Mr. Pemberton say on the radio that Senator Hill had asked him to pull MARIO FROM THE AIR, but because he did not, Hill then pulled the contract from Mr. Pemberton.
Gee, first Hill tries to shut down Free Speech by joining a lawsuit to the FCC because of the criticism he got voting for a huge raise and benefits for himself, now tries to get another vocal host and audience off the air who speaks his mind about the senate and administration.
Do you suppose Hill is running scared and knows he just may not get in office next year?
I am so pleased the Legislature had a Xmas party on the taxpayers. They just love to rub in in they have NO accountability on how they spend our money, do they?
Since when is being a senator defined as a ‘career’? I think Hill has aspirations of being the governor or maybe he is speaking of his access to under the table money he enjoys while being an elected official?
Hill can never be Governor of these islands, if he is thinking on that he is crazy.
And it’s just as crazy for DeJongh to think he can win with lies and false promises AGAIN.
Especially when the people are starting to see through these lies. Like the Bible passage in I kings said, “Man looks at the outward appearence, but God judgeth the heart.”
Mr.P sounded like a blatant lier and moron. He is crying for his supper, but according to Sen. Hill the Senate will be saving money by selecting a lower bid. The previous Senate President made an illegal deal with Mr.P. and now the corruption has come to light.
Who previous senate president ?
Donastorg in the 28th legislature, Usie in the 27th legislature…….
That’s right, those two crooks did not allow for the bidding process to take place. Mr. P got an illegal contract which is now null & void.Donastorg & Usie should be investigated for fraud.
lol . but what could have Donastorg done , he wasnt even there for a year.
Foolish “MMM” and “T”,if you bothered to take your head out of DEwolf’s enormous a**. You would know that for the past 4-5 years no other station would even bother to consider the Legislative contract because the money the Legislature was willing to pay to broadcast the sessions was not “good enough”. Reef broadcasting was the ONLY station willing to broadcast at a mere $385, when all the other stations wanted well over $400. Now that Dewolf is trying to save his beloved “white man” (Morgan) they have decided to pull the contract from Mr. P and have other station’s “bid” even after about 3 years ago on his radio station, Morgan was speaking to the former Chief of Staff of former senator Jean Baptiste and he (Morgan) stated that he would have never accepted the contract fron the Legislature because it was not “lucrative”…….Considering that Morgan seems to now be bankrupt let’s see who this contract will go to! A blind man can see and a deaf man can hear that the Governor’s popularity is at such a low that if the election was held within this month, his opposition would win by a landslide. DewOLF has made a another huge mistake trying to demand that Mario be taken off the air waves…..ELECTION HAS BEGUN AND I AM READY!!!!!
It’s truly amazing “T” and “MMM” who insinuate Senators Richard and Donastorg are crooks for signing an agreement with a local station that seeks to educate the people of the Virgin Islands by providing facts on critical issues affecting the citizens. I am truly appauled both of you would attack these two Senators for extending contracts that were in existence before they became Presidents of the Legislature. This attack only appears to represent a bias position to try and skew the facts once again. Rest assured the people will not remain naive or blind on the prevailing issue here; Freedom of Speach and the Press is something we enjoy and should preserve especially when we live in a Democracy and not under a Dictorial Government. This latest attempt to silence Mario and Mr. P should not and cannot prevail; we shall remember this ranchy bunch this election year, on that significant day in November.
We shall overcome. The wise shall rule. The stupid will continue to make noise. Empty barrels make the most noise.Your source of entertainment is to bash each other. Meanwhile, we will buy land and exploit you. Go to America. We will take over these islands, because you can not run your own government.Let us show you who are really in charge!
Dennis, um Foncie, keep up the posts here on CIF. Your contributions are just awesome.
I love to read the stuff from Foncie. He uses 10 different names. You idiots who think he should be governor are crazy! He could not perform the role as Senate President. The majority of the voters will decide who will be governor in 2010. It should be interesting. Continue to expose the crooks such as Mr.P, Mario and the senators.Too bad the CIF folks can not get cash for their trash!
