STX Christmas Festival “Goes Global”

December 19, 2009

The St. Croix Christmas Festival is going global this year with its theme “Hold Out A Welcome to One and All” and a plan to stream the Adult Parade and selected Village entertainment via the Internet.

According to information on the Festival Website, the theme, submitted by Grisha Theodore, “reflects Festival’s arrival into a new era of global acceptance as we embrace Virgin Islanders at home and those residing in the far reaches of the globe. Our global community welcomes all who love and respect the Virgin Islands.”

    Thanks, CIF.

Some major kissing-up to the gov.,congress rep. and at large sen. was done by one winning contestant of the junior calypso competition. The gov. came and stayed just long enough for a photo op with the little girl (probably on cover page of both newspapers). Her mother, who was spitting mad when Barsinger fired her during his first term, was visibly involved with the adoration heaped on the 3 officials….one of the many people appeased (paid off?) by this administration.
