Morgan “Foundation” – Was It Approved?
After listening to the ongoing on-air debate about the legitimacy of the Roger W. Morgan Foundation we did a little research to try to put the question to rest.
Morgan is a local radio personality who promoted The Roger W. Morgan Foundation on-air as a 501(c)3 while soliciting funds for Kissee Richards medical expenses. 501(c) is a provision of the United States Internal Revenue Code (26 U.S.C. § 501(c)), that grants federal tax exempt status to certain types of non-profit organizations. Ms. Richards’ medical expenses were ultimately absorbed by a stateside hospital that took on her case.
Records at the Lt. Governor’s Office dated April, 2006, show that eligibility for the 501 status was denied until more information was provided. We were unable to locate any more recent documentation showing that the deficiencies were corrected and that the appropriate registration and accompanying tax exempt eligibility were obtained.
It has been reported that some $25,000 was collected in donations to the “Foundation.” Was the Foundation was duly registered under the law as a bona fide non-profit organization before funds were collected? If there is a verifiable document validating the legal status of this ”Foundation”, CIF will publish it to put this issue to rest.

I wonder what the “legal expert” and so-called “investigator” from Vermont will have to say if it is found out that Roger broke the law and was not a legal non-profit?
Let’s see if she reacts as strongly toward Roger as she does Wayne James or if she is just another hypocrite.

IF YOU LOST MANY FRIENDS, THERE IS LIKELY A GOOD REASON FOR THAT, TOO. DID YOU MISTREAT THEM? DID YOU NOT LIVE UP TO YOUR END OF BUSINESS DEALS? DID THEY LEARN ABOUT A DARK SIDE OF ROGER MORGAN THE REST OF US ARE NOT AWARE OF?
YOU HAVE DONE MUCH TO HIGHLIGHT PEOPLE AND ORGANIZATIONS IN THIS COMMUNITY IN THE NAME OF UNITY.
YOU ALSO HAVE DONE MUCH TO DIVIDE THIS COMMUNITY AND PLAY ONE CITIZEN AGAINST ANOTHER BY ARROGANCE AND MANIPULATION.
BE HONEST. YOUR FINANCIAL TROUBLES ARE MORE THAN ECONOMY PROBLEMS. I SUSPECT YOUR BUSINESS MISMANAGEMENT IS AT FAULT.
AND THEN THERE IS THE ROGER W. MORGAN FOUNDATION YOU SAID REPEATEDLY WAS REGISTERED AND THEN ADMITTED WAS NOT. NEXT WE FIND OUT THE MONEY IS SUDDENLY REMOVED FROM THE ST. CROIX FOUNDATION AND YOU LEAVE OUT WHERE IT WENT.
I THINK THE PUBLIC IS WITNESSING ONE-SIDE OF THE STORY ACCORDING TO WHAT YOU PRESENT ON THE AIR. I THINK THERE IS ANOTHER SIDE THAT IS MORE ACCURATE ABOUT YOUR TRUE COLORS.

Get a life Marie and move on to your government….senator’s, administration. Put your energy to where it matters and stop the foolish distractions about Roger Morgan for heaven’s sake.
Turn off the radio and start reading the Daily News to see what the government is doing to destroy your life on the islands all the while the higher ups live the high life. Time to start talking about next year and the election process.
The lady of Vermont is a big shot up here and she is holds a high office where she works. Be careful because she can know all she wants to know about what she wants to know…
She is also from the USVI and have family living down there, she went to school with Wayne and he lied on her in class. This family moved to this state for more than 20 years and they all work for the FEDS.
She is way more powerful then most people down there and she have the contacts. We do not have the facts about what you claim MARIE, therefore when you get the facts we will be more than happy to pass the said information on to Sara to ask Roger about it on the air. The lady from Vermont’s name is Jemima. She also has a niece and a nephew. Get It?
That’s is not the person that calls the show and Jemima is one her sisters. Get your facts before you start typing and that is what she have over all of you – Sara have 9 nieces and 11 nephew. I know this because I am married to Sara brother, for the pass 12 years. I hope this information makes things more clear for all of you.

My family moved from the USVI more than 29 years ago and I do not like the fact that people are trying to hurt my daughter. She is trying to be part of where she lived for the first 10 years of your life. I told her not to ever do that because they will try to hurt her, she is a tought woman and I am going to back her in whatever she does. My son-in-law (Sara’s husband) is not going to take any thing they are trying to do to her sitting down.
I have know this black family for the past 30 years and I have loved the way they all lived their lives. I sold a cow to this family every Thanksgiving for the past 19 years and all of Vermont will defend all/any thing any one from the USVI try’s to do the our Sara.
Sara is our spoke person on Roger’s show and it is what it is – we will tell her what we want her to talk about and she would do just that. Senator Wayne James did wrong and we are as mad as hell and that’s why we are speaking out…

As for “Sara” let’s hear you say who you are and what your position is clearly on the air. Maybe the FEDS will want to talk to you for pretending to be someone you are not.

@ Sara and the Family of “FEDS”, since you have access to all sorts of information. Can you let the public know via the “white-man” radio show about that “incident” that Governor deWolf was involved in during his college years?…..Let’s see how much info you’re really privy too!
I’m so ashamed of all that is going on in these islands. The first is the Government. I must say this is the worst Administration ever. January 2007 was a time of so much optimism .. I thought things would be so different but this is what we get… From government down now everything is just wrong. We have had corruption in government before but this is an all high.
I find the Lady from Vermont to be a fabulous addition to the free speech program. There are, however, faults to her conversations that are by no means her fault. If she knew that Wayne James has an eviction record, she would have really blown her top! She didn’t know that Wayne was asked to leave Victoria House due to his constant complaints, even when those complaints were satisfied. She didn’t even really know that the antique auction at Whim a few years back was funded by a businessman who wound up being duped by Wayne and his entourage in the name of whatever. So, HOW would she know that Morgan is actually solely responsible for his own demise? Morgan spent more time bartering for airtime between restaurants, chiropractic care, free flights down island, etc… So, because those “things” are not documented online, how would she know? This Lady from Vermont has done a remarkable job with what she has been able to find online. I believe if she knew more about Morgan, such as even watching him treating people from all walks of life as dismissable and subservient, she would definitely come to the same conclusions that the people who have watched Morgan have come to. Morgan is an “elitist”, as I have been on the receiving end of his arrogance. It must have appeared to him that he would gain no benefit by conversing with me, so I was abruptly dismissed. So be it, Morgan, you yourself put yourself in your very sad position. Funny thing is, I bet there will be a collection of people who will pull you out of your hole. I may even be one of those people, so stop showing favoritism, elite behavior, and dismissive behavior.
Roger will likely be saved…

I know for a fact the women from Vermont works for the FEDS because when I went up to Vermont to see about a job. She interviewed me for a federal job I was applying for and she asked me some tough question and she did her research. The reason why I know she asked me a parking tickets I had not paid on island, New York and PR. There were some other things I put there that were not correct and she asked me about, so meh son she is no one to mess with – SHE IS WHO SHE SAY SHE IS!
This is such a non-topic……how does Morgan effect your daily lives like the corrupt government does?
And the Lady from Vermont is wonderful, honest and a very educated and knowledgeable woman. I wish she would move here and run for the senate! Her and Nellie would be fabulous.
Personally, I would like to hear the Vermont woman tell everyone exactly where she is in Vermont and what office she works out of. I feel a lot of what she is saying on the airwaves could be considered as slander. Roger asks for proof of everything that is said about the governor, but not about Seantor Wayne James.
I also understand one of Roger’s outspoken female callers interrupted an event hosted by the senator and made a fool of herself. She talks about Alpine alot. Many know her name.
I would like to hear Morgan supporters tell everyone that they believe he is an honest man without doubt.
Let’s get back to the Subject: Roger Morgan
I started listening to the R.M. show “Free Speech” at the time when 6905 was our big problem. I found the show to be very interesting and informative, not so much what Roger had to say, but what the people had to say. This was also a time when Roger did more listening then talking. It was also his claim to fame.
Over the past two years, the talk show, in my opinion, has changed dramatically, and a lot of regular callers with interesting and intelligent comments have long abandoned the show. It seems to me that, over time, Roger has done more to divide then to unite us. He has a way to force his opinion on us, may this be his undisguised support for the governor and other people he favors, or his uneducated opinion on Alpine and pet coke. Once he realizes that the general opinion on any issue swings the other way, so does Roger.
If Roger would ever consult with a shrink, he would definitely be analyzed as a schizophrenic. He also wants desperately loved by his audience. What he has accomplished, however, is a group of people who wet their pants if God Roger comes on the air, people who need and want to be air every day no matter what, and those who are bored stiff with what Roger and his callers have to say. It seems to me these are always the same thirty or so callers.
Roger cannot do anything wrong. He attacks senators and other officials in high office for not making their financials public. But when I asked him in numerous emails, or on the air, to shed some light on his Roger W. Morgan Foundation, he keeps everything under a shroud and declares it as a personal issue. Let us not forget that he solicited all these moneys from the public. One (almost) daily caller from STJ broke out in tears on the air when I had the audacity to question Rogers’ integrity.
Yes, Mr. Morgan has done many things to open peoples eyes. But he also ever had a motive. He is in the business, by the power of his microphone, to get as large of an audience o tune in, including callers from Wakabukoanywhereeverthisis, to ramble along and get a wether report.
“Man-o-man-o-man, can you believe it? we just had a cal from Wankabukowhereeverthisis. And this caller sounded so interesting. After my program, I will try to find out where he was calling from.”
Roger, Stick to your commercials. I get a better laugh from them. You even convinced me to buy my mighty good wine in a hardware store.
Whatever the hidden issues are by the ‘personal’ attacks, (what was that saying about stone throwing in glass houses?) we will be losing the ONLY open venue on the islands to voice our comments on our very corrupt government and the very wrong things that go on down here.
Listening to Jimmy in the AM, he has only five callers on a continued basis……..Sam is boring since he mostly hits the national front, and Mario’s reception is so bad, only half of one island can hear the show when it is not taken over by the senate sessions. And Redfield is so in the tank for the governor and so in love with himself it is sickening.
What other shows are willing to step up to the plate and continue an open talk show NOT swayed by politics? We need an open forum for next year during the election season. The town hall meetings are fixed with questions by whomever is hosting the debates…….we need all the candidates to appear with the audience asking the questions and not some canned questions we have all heard before.
If Roger isn’t in the tank for deWolf than who is. He is so far up deWolf’s a** he can brush the Gov’s teeth from the inside.
If Jimmie has five callers it is not because he isn’t open and objective with his callers. He allows the caller to decide the subject. Roger shuts down anyone that hasn’t drunk the kool-aid.
