Morgan “Foundation” – Was It Approved?
After listening to the ongoing on-air debate about the legitimacy of the Roger W. Morgan Foundation we did a little research to try to put the question to rest.
Morgan is a local radio personality who promoted The Roger W. Morgan Foundation on-air as a 501(c)3 while soliciting funds for Kissee Richards medical expenses. 501(c) is a provision of the United States Internal Revenue Code (26 U.S.C. § 501(c)), that grants federal tax exempt status to certain types of non-profit organizations. Ms. Richards’ medical expenses were ultimately absorbed by a stateside hospital that took on her case.
Records at the Lt. Governor’s Office dated April, 2006, show that eligibility for the 501 status was denied until more information was provided. We were unable to locate any more recent documentation showing that the deficiencies were corrected and that the appropriate registration and accompanying tax exempt eligibility were obtained.
It has been reported that some $25,000 was collected in donations to the “Foundation.” Was the Foundation was duly registered under the law as a bona fide non-profit organization before funds were collected? If there is a verifiable document validating the legal status of this ”Foundation”, CIF will publish it to put this issue to rest.

Speaking of Jimmie, what is going on with Raffie? He can calling Jimmie and Mario, and he keeps tying up the phone line about his personal issues and his support for the governor. He would fit right at home with Roger and his cronies (callers).
At least Roger isn’t living off his wife’s business she owns with her Daddy. Maybe the wife needs to know what her hubby is doing all day long.
Hey Andreas, your court paperwork was on this site about the loan you gave to Roger for $25,000……$15,000 of it was in cash. Did you file the paperwork out with the Fed’s required by law for a $10,000 cash transfer/withdrawal?? Could be a Jeffery Prosser if not.
What ever happened to the civil lawsuit filed against the governor for his guardhouse and other expenses? Did the AG bury it along with other political cases the governor does not want to go forward?????????
Mario’s and Jimmy’s talk shows are numbers 1 and 2 in my estimation. Roger’s show is an interesting insight to some people’s thinking. What I don’t like is the economic advantage given to Morgan by the advertizers. It seems that only that segment of the community is worthy of appealing to.
It is true that Raffie and the miseducator take up too much time reiterating their views on a daily basis. Yesterday, Raffie was so rediculous that he was actually amusing. I think he is one of the following: a skilled satirical-political analyst; a thoughtless jabbering magpie; or a modern-day lanzado who acts as an economic agent to assist arriving investors achieve wealth (like many of our “leaders”).
Although many people, including some talkshow hosts, decry the number and content of the numerous talkshows, there is so much information we would not have if they (and CIF) were not there.
Roger will be gone soon, no doubt, as soon as next week I hear. Raffie is silly some times and you cannot take him seriously (remember the idea he had about paying parents to attend PTA meetings?) but I wish Free Speech would continue, maybe on another station, with the amount of freedom we have when calling in. Steve Nisky is awful. Don’t want him five days a week much less one. He has his own agenda like Roger does.
The mis-educator, aka, the political analyst, is so pro deJongh her rhetoric makes no sense and does not reflect common sense. I am glad I do not have children in her classes.
I agree with you PNG, we need a written and radio forum to voice our concerns and get the word out about corruption and graft in the USVI.
I just cannot get Jimmy or Mario when they are on unless I am west of C’sted. Used to get Jimmy when he was also on 103.5 in Peter’s Rest, but apparently they have not continued their contract with his show. I really like how he treats callers and listens to them and his VERY educated and thought out responses. He also has a fantastic sense of humor.
Let me first respond to Tiny One because he seems to have some limited education about money transfers. I can have a million Dollars under my mattress, as long as it was earned legally. I can transfer any amount of this money to anybody, and in whatever way or form, as long as it is not taken out of the country. This would be the only case where the $ 10,000 rule applies. But don’t worry, I would not even lend you ten Dollars with your education of finances, and stick to the facts:
I have a written Promissory Note with Roger W. Morgan, his Corporation and his wife. Against my better judgement, I bailed Mr. Morgan out in a commitment he made to buy another radio station in Virginia. The terms of the loan were proposed by Mr. Morgan, and were accepted by me. Mr. Morgan failed to make ANY payment in a timely fashion, and owes me to this day.
I was also the person who researched the non existing “Roger Morgan Foundation” at great time and expense to me. I hired a private investigator, and a lot of things came to light that I have not shared with the public to this date, and probably never will.
I can effort to kiss my money Mr. Morgan owes me “good bye”. What I cannot and will not tolerate are his never ending lies, on the air, to the people of the Virgin Islands I cannot believe the naivety of many people being glued to his microphone. He reminds me of some of these mass healers and evangelists.
It is my opinion that Mr. Morgan is poison to the Virgin Islands. He is a manipulator and con artist. This statement might put me in the dog house with many people, but I think I know what I am talking about.
Roger Morgan will leave our islands. For some reasons he will be missed by his loyal audience. Believe it or not, there is a small part of me that will miss him, too. But I am confident that there are enough people left who want the truth, and nothing but the truth, and a new talk show will be on the horizon.
May Roger Morgan leave in good grace.

On a different note my close friend has a brother that is an FBI agent and information about the lady from Vermont could be brought to his attention.
let me tell you all that rodger morgan will be gone on monday.someone has bought the station,there will be no more free speach. the woman from vermont is just a big fraud,she has come on as so many diffrent names on this blog. i have done a back ground check on her and all she has done is lie about who she is and where she works.she is from gyana,and grew up in st.croix. she is bloging under meh son,bah humbug,my family,light of day,the farmer and husband. look at the wording and you will see what i am talking about. come clean you BIG FRAUD.
Roger Morgan does not own anything but debts. But I am convinced that he will find a sucker to move his junk off island for a free commercial. Let’s throw him a Fair Well party. After all, he has not hurt anybody but his creditors and loyal listeners who never figured out what a phony has was.
What is for sure, the law will follow him wherever he goes. I am sure the green lady of the purple mountain will follow him. bless her soul. One or two crooks less on our islands. We have plenty left to fill the void.
I will miss the opportunities free speech has afforded to all callers, but will miss more listening to other perspectives that have opened my eyes and mind. I credit Morgan for the chance to speak and listen, but never gave him loyalty for he himself. If everything were as true from Morgan as he wanted us to believe, then he would not have lost his radio station to hos own loan default. Morgan: Karma. Plain and simple. I pray you take this experience with you, wherever you go.
Oops…forgot to add, I agree about Nisky. Nice guy, bad host. Let’s hope STX can come up with someone as logical and funny and as good a listener as Jimmy O. Maybe guest hosting would be cool.

Dear Tiny One: Does you mail name reflect on your hight, brain size or mentality? One thing is for sure: You need to get off island for a while because too much sun seems to be effect all three of the referenced deficiencies you seem to have.
But I let you in to a little secret: After I retired from a long career as a corporate executive, I bribed one of our police officers and got a key to their evidence room. Now you know where my money comes from. I think you should do the same because you don’t seem to be smart enough to make and save your money any other way.
It is beyond my dignity to have any further communication with you.

One think I want to bring up again and again: What happened to the $ 25,000 plus that Roger Morgan pulled out of the STX Foundation. The are moneys that our people donated Dollar for Dollar in good faith. Some of these good people could and should have put it to better use. This is, and always has, my real issue with Roger Morgan and, to this day, he still owes an answer to us. is it so easy for us to forget? Since Roger would not take my calls anymore, where are the rest of the honest people to confront him with this question?
The people posting such hateful comments here scare me a lot more than Roger. Even if every negative word written about him turned out to be true, I just don’t see him as a threat to anyone except corrupt politicians. If you think he has broken a law then call 9-1-1. Be prepared to speak slowly and give directions. Several times…

Andreas: Maybe you should be talking to the clients who accepted advertising from Roger and later admitted they did not have the funds to pay for it. They owe him more than he alledgedly (I have not verified your claim) owes you. If Roger does owe you money, simply from what you’ve posted here, I judge you to me a small minded weasel of a man; bitter, miserable, and you have gone about this all wrong. In the interest of ethics, if you have a legal issue with Roger, keep it between yourselves and the authorities. Spreading gossip and half-truths about that which you don’t know will backfire on you.
I know what it’s like to be ripped off. I have only myself to blame for fronting the guy (not Roger) money. Perhaps if the bank won’t loan it to the person, there’s a good reason.
