A message from Michael Springer, President, Crucians In Focus

Michael Springer

Michael Springer

On behalf of Crucians In Focus, I’d like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. Let’s all take a moment to count our blessings, and spend this time with family, friends and good food.

In the spirit of the season, we’ll keep it light – but we must take this opportunity to tell you what we’re most thankful for.

We thank you for allowing us to keep you informed of the critical issues facing us as Virgin Islanders and promise to stay true to this mission as we approach this most critical election year. And we thank those other members of the broadcast and internet media who continue to inform and enlighten the community, no matter how many others try to silence their voices.

Have a happy and safe holiday.

hahahahaha Why did you delete the comment above me Mr. Springer? I thought this was a free and open forum and allowed freedom of speech. Just because someone says something negative about you doesn’t mean you have to delete it. But hey at least the government doesn’t operate like that. The de Jongh administration would delete CIF & demmansay.com. Michael J. Springer Jr. a hypocrite….

CIF welcomes anyone constructive criticism, however the use of foul language is TOTALLY prohibited on this website….. Crucians In Focus reserve the right to ban ANYONE who use foul language along with personal attacks on individuals. ……This forum was design to expose and root out public corruption.

so why did you delete my other comment “lol^^”. That didn’t have foul language? And I’ve seen much worse language on this site Mr. Springer so I have no clue what you are talking about. The only thing I am seeing corrupt right now is this website. You contradict the purpose of the blog/website. I would think a blog that is “are committed to an open, honest and transparent form of government”, it would be committed to being an open website and not censoring the views of others. Once again you are a hypocrite.

And you say “Crucians In Focus reserve the right to ban ANYONE who use foul language along with personal attacks on individuals” but I see it is funny that you have selected which comments to delete. Undermining the purpose of this forum. And I have seen comments that you have decided to delete. You’ve deleted mine. Mr. Springer, it is becoming more and more apparent that this is not a real forum but one that has an agenda. Controlling the comments and opinions of those who go against the group. It is even more noticeable when over the summer you deleted my comments and moderated the comments being posted.

All I did was ask what happened on 970AM on Saturday and my post got deleted. What exactly did happen?

I have observed young children & teenagers throwing temper tantrums. They both use language and mo’s quite similar to one of the commentors on this thread.
I follow CIF because I feel I learn alot about how our government and elected officials conduct business and bend the rules to suit thier needs. Most of the info on CIF is documented, and I thank CIF for availing such pertinent info. Idiotic and immature comments have no place or desire to be considered as anything but such. C4L: get a grip. You don’t have to like Mr. Springer, but please show respect for what he is making available to the community. Thanks.

I,too, would like to thank Mr. Springer and others for the flow of information that this website provides.

One thing that has been reinforced to me,and I hope to others,is that it is naive to give blind trust and alliegence to individual politicians. The day after electing them we should immediately become vigilant by questioning, assessing, and (when necessary) criticising everything they do on behalf of our government and us. We should also demand high ethical standards from those who put themselves up there as our reprisentatives.
I hope that CIF will continue to expose and investigate the current leadership, and I pray that we voters will have the wisdom to weed out the curruption that is chronic in our territory.
