Congratulations Atty. Harold Willocks
The Legislature’s Committee on Rules and Judiciary voted unanimously Friday to favorably recommend Chief Public Defender Harold Willocks to the full Legislature for a seat on the Virgin Islands Superior Court.
The Committee, chaired by Sen. Michael Thurland, met on St. Croix. The recommendation now goes to the full Legislature for confirmation.
Atty. Willocks, a noted historian in addition to his legal career, served as Assistant Attorney General before joining the Office of the Territorial Public Defender, where he has been Chief Public Defender since 1992.
Atty. Willocks was praised for his long-time involvement in the community, his thoroughness as a researcher, his calm demeanor and his responsiveness.
Additionally, he was noted as a person who is in touch with the people, a characteristic his questioners and those who came to testify on his behalf noted as a particularly positive attribute for a judge in the Virgin Islands.
Congratulations, Attorney Willocks. We look forward to the day when we can call you  “Your Honor.”

In my opinion, Atty. Harold woould make a good judge. At least he don’t have as much baggage as Atty. Christian.
Harold Willocks, congratulation!
From “Playing basketball at Parade Grounds “ to “Practicing law at the Public Defenders’ Office, and now shortly “Presiding over case matters as a Superior Court Judge!”
Now, on this one, I can say without contradiction, great choice Governor.
Congratulation to attorney Willock I have never met you but we have spoken quit a bit in reference to my work.
So hurry up the process so that I can say JUDGE WILLOCK!
