Crime Stoppers Seeks Community’s Help
Crime Stoppers is asking the community to help the VIPD solve the following crimes, and reminds everyone that any information, no matter how insignificant, may be just what the police need to solve these cases:
St. John: Police are seeking the community’s assistance in identifying three men who robbed the apartment above Morgan’s Mango on September 3, at about 1:30 am. Three black males, armed with knives and machetes, entered the apartment while it was occupied by the residents. One suspect may have received a laceration to the hand or forearm during the robbery.
St. Thomas : Police are asking the community to help locate 26-year-old Ms. Akilah Charleswell, who was last seen on August 12 at E & M Grocery Store in Hull Bay . Ms. Charleswell, also known as “Shawty”, is 5’0″, approximately 110 pounds, and has dark eyes and black hair with short twisted locks and medium brown complexion. Community members can submit tips to Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). The tips are completely anonymous, and the stateside operators are bilingual. Tipsters can also submit tips online at www.CrimeStoppersUSVI.org or by texting “USVI” plus your message to CRIMES (274637). If a tip leads to an arrest or the recovery of stolen property or illegal drugs, the tipster receives a cash reward to be paid according to their instructions. Only anonymous callers to Crime Stoppers are eligible for these cash rewards.
