It’s Time To Come Clean

August 19, 2009

Enough with all the spinning. It’s time to come clean.

The VI Code and the Department of Justice require public officials to file financial disclosure statements every year and a portion of those filings are public record. Well we are the public and we want to see them.

Crucians In Focus sent a certified letter (attached) to Attorney General Vincent Frazer to provide that information to us. The letter outlines the details of the request and the names of the officials whose filings we want to see.

This is a simple request. These documents are public record and the electorate is entitled to them. If they are not available, we want to know why.

We will keep you posted.

I could’ve sworn that AFD was going to cry today the last time he spoke. What was that all about?

  3. Born Here on August 21, 2009 at 9:26 pm

Anon, what was that all about – Senator Donastorg cares so much about his community that his passion began to show.

Too bad de Wolf and the senate henchmen passion is only for themselves and their financial gains.

Go do your spinning else where. The propaganda and spin jobs are over on CIF.

This community is not stupid neither are the Feds.

    Anonymous,

Instead of being concerned with what Donastorg was doing today, you ought to be MORE CONCERNED with WHAT the FEDS were doing today.

    Hint: Mafoliegate!

  5. Financial Disclosures on August 21, 2009 at 9:46 pm

It’s very apparent looking at all of the above propaganda and spin jobs that someone became very concerned after Mr. Springer requested financial disclosures from the Attorney General and tried to divert attention away from Mr. Springer’s initiative.

The only persons that have been doing a lot of spinning lately have been GOVERNOR JOHN P. DE JONGH, JR., SENATOR CARLTON DOWE, SENATOR LOUIS P. HILL, and SENATOR CELESTINO WHITE.

They all have a lot of reasons to be concern about their financial disclosures going public. This community heads will probably spin after reading their financial disclosures. Heads might roll in 2010 after the community finds out who did not file their financial disclosures especially if it involves any of the pirates listed above.

SENATOR CRAIG BARSHINGER will probably go to jail for tax evasion.

Let me once again remind some of you who seems neither to grasp the gravity nor severity of the situation and its sequential consequences:

    1. The feds went to Puerto Rico where they initially investigated and then subsequently locked up a number of politicians.

    2. The feds have arrived in Virgin Islands, where they are initially investigating a number of politicians.

    3. The feds (as they had done in Puerto Rico) may subsequently lock-up a number of our politicians.

Speaking of Barshinger, what was he talking about when he spoke about some missing teleprompter. Did I miss something?

  8. Bull Foot Soup on August 22, 2009 at 12:10 am

Eyes: who called in the Feds? Perhaps the current Administration? A good defense is a stong offense.

Either way, this is serious business indeed.

    We are waiting,

“If an individual is going to make such outrageous comments, then they, as well as the radio stations that
allow those comments to be broadcast, are going to have to be held accountable for their action,” said
Greaux. “Failure to produce any proof to such ridiculous claims undermines the credibility and integrity of our
news and talk radio programs. In the case of Senator Donastorg, knowing that such evidence does not and
cannot exist, we will be examining all of our legal options,” concluded Greaux.

Who do they think they are fooling? Its unfortunate the endless attacks I witnessed against Donastorg today?

On another subject, did someone say Coretta Scott-King graduated from Antioch and is infact a success story? Mrs. King was destined to be recognized because her husband was Martin Luther King. Please note she publicly acknowledged she had a learning disorder and Antioch College was the ideal learning environment for her. When is the good Governor going to ever acknowledge he too had a learning disorder? So lets stick to the facts here. The college was subsequently closed because the teaching and grading method was not considered an acceptable standard. Its considered a school of liberal arts and as such did not meet the accreditation of by highly recognized and credible accreditation bodies. I think we should ask the Governor why he graduated at 20 years of age? Can someone explain this? Check the records my friends. I got all this from his own website.

So at the end of the day, we should realize this is a man who has established he is a pathological liar. First, he does not know a Mr. Jeffrey Epstein who pays for his kids to go to school and employed his wife; then he decides to say no public funds were ever used to enhance his private property; when are we going to see the pattern here. This is really rediculous when Senators and members of this community can ignore these abuses because they either fear retaliation or they are part of a corrupt regime. If the Feds failed to address this, then we are doomed. People in Puerto Rico went to jail or resigned for lesser violations. This abuse of power needs to stop and stop soon.

Foncie, you’re going crazy. You are actually answering your own questions. Mr. Springer, how much is Foncie paying you to be his sounding board? This website is becoming the laughing stock of the Virgin Islands.

  12. Observer on August 22, 2009 at 1:17 am

I have observed Anonymous is none other than Neville James. I was told he frequents this website but I can’t understand what he has against Mr. Springer. If you claim this site is the laughing stock of the Virgin Islands then you must be the biggest idiot for participating. Are you not contributing to the site by reading and participating Senator James. I think you are rather childish and lack focus. Your gambling habit is hampering your ability to provide sound judgement. I will make myself known to you at the next horse races. I once thought you carried at least 20% of the Doc mental genetics but I am badly mistaken. I don’t care if you continue trying to discredit Foncie but leave Springer alone. I think you should consider another job because your failing miserably as a Senatah.

  13. Anonymous on August 22, 2009 at 8:58 am

Sorry Observer, you’re guessing if U think I’m Neville James. What I represent is a part of Mr. Springer’s political nightmare. Keep Guessing. It’s Springer we want in 2010. Tell him don’t cry when it’s over either.

  14. Devil's Advocate on August 22, 2009 at 9:18 am

People who live in glass houses, should not throw stones. This site is notorious for allowing posters to discredit and degrade all who are perceived as deJonge supporters. It has demonized the governor and glorified the senators who appear to be on the same bandwagon. Springer is no choir boy. Why is he not fair game in this love fest or feeding frenzy on this website?

Senator Neville James often comments on his dislike and disrespect for the governor. I think he behaves somewhat immature when he participates in the tit for tat stupidity. I would still vote for him, though. We all possess good qualities as well as shortcomings. Unfortunately, black people in the VI tend to focus on the negatives. The Willie Lynch Syndrome is in full effect here. Perhaps, it is because Willie Lynch was a slave owner from St. Croix. He might have fathered children with African slaves. The hateful former senator might be a Willie Lynch descendant. This would explain why he is afraid to shake Roger Morgan’s hand. Senator James and the former senator have something in common. Both hate & fear Roger Morgan. Neither of them have the guts to call or go on Free Speech. Mario bashes Senator James behind his back and acts like he is his supporter when James goes on the program.

In conclusion, the perfect love fest would be for all these characters to appear on Mario:Bert,Foncie, Neville,Springer, and Roger. Let them throw all the blows at each other. It would be fun to hear them trying to outshout and insult each other.

  15. Anonymous on August 23, 2009 at 1:06 am

Hey Observer, any new observations since your last crazy one? Oare are you embarassed because your most recent “guess” was so way out there. We’re waiting.

  16. EyesWideOpen on August 23, 2009 at 6:59 am

    Observer,

Only as Neville would say, “you’re on the mark.”

  17. T on August 24, 2009 at 8:29 am

I WONDER IF ANONYMOUS IS REALLY THE GOVERNOR!!!!!!!!!!!

  18. Observer on August 26, 2009 at 10:28 pm

    EyesWideOpen,

You are right! In addition Senator N. James spends most of his time in the mornings on the race track and then goes to his office to spend time on Crucian in Focus. He must have a real issue with Mr. Springer and Foncie. One time he is critisizing the website but yet he is participating. This is the action of a crazy man if you ask me. I heard his secretary saying he is obsessed with Crucian in Focus. Poor guy, doesn’t know if he coming or going. I wish the good Senator good health and perhaps his sanity back. I am electing Crucian in Focus for the pulitzer prize. Anyone wish to join me just call Senator N. James Office and cast your vote for Crucian in Focus.

  19. Nomination on August 27, 2009 at 7:32 am

Crucians in Focus website is going to win many more prestigious awards other than Pulitzer. The value of the Pulitzer went down worldwide after it awarded the Virgin Islands Daily Nuisance its prestigious award.

CIF deserves much more than a Pulitzer. This website is truly going down in VI History for its efforts in exposing government corruptions in the Virgin Islands.

What other main stream media source(s) has done and accomplished what CIF as done at this critical junction in VI history?

CIF is way ahead of the pack. News published at this site is often published several days after in the main stream media. Even the main stream media come to CIF to get its news.

    Good job CIF and bloggers.

  20. Embarrassed Virgin Islander on August 29, 2009 at 1:50 am

On Friday, August 28th, the New York Post published a question. Does anyone in the Virgin Islands know the answer???

“WHICH political leader in the Caribbean is under investigation by the US government for using foreign aid to renovate his palatial home? The $443,000 spent was falsely listed as “security and road improvements.”

    Go figure!

Can a governor be recalled for embarrassing his people before the entire free and democratic world?
