Senators Dowe, Hill & White

The Legislature’s Henchmen turned up the heat and the documents that tell the “Mafoliegate” story have vanished from the official 28th Legislature’s website.

Now we’re wondering if the hearings that Sen. Neville James was supposed to call to bring the rest of this scandal to light are going to disappear too.

We knew the Henchmen, Senators Hill, Dowe and White, were furious with James for posting the documents. We knew they were pressuring him to take them down and we know they’re trying whatever they can to make sure that these hearings don’t take place.

We’re not worried about the documents. We anticipated there might be a “problem” with the site and took action to preserve the information. So don’t fret. We’ve still got them and will be making them available in the near future. And don’t think we didn’t notice that the Public Finance Authority (PFA) documents never even got posted.

Senator James, those hearings MUST take place. You know it, we know it, the Henchmen know it, and the Administration knows it.

These strong-arm tactics have sent a clear message to the community – that this Administration and its accomplices will do anything to keep the truth out of the light.

Truth crushed to earth shall rise again.

Administrator’s note: Documents have been re-posted on the Legislature’s website. Click here to view documents.

The legislative finally approved all the nominees from the governor. I know they have to had a long day yesterday. Of course, if the governor had pick some of these people from the beginning, we would probably be better off.

Oh my. Nelville kept saying we are ‘killing our own’ in reference to Nellie, Usie, Terrance and Barshinger voting and commenting why they are not voting for Francois. Gee, maybe they actually READ the audit on housing when he was at the helm for 12 years……the following year the Fed’s took over due to his corrupt leadership. So here we go again, recycling the same old crap who failed us before.
As far as Nelville claiming only outsiders bring corruption here as in Rodney Miller……..I seem to remember a Carty who benefited from the Schneider Hospital graft, a Biggs and a Plaskett who are now locked up for stealing from their ‘own’ and a Simmons who is in jail for stealing from us. Short memory Nelville. If you are going to slam those senators who vote based on research and not personal reasons, include all the crooks.

There is “some value” in everything.

Yes, Even THE COWARD: his only “redeemable value” is that he lives to tell or write the story and the glory of THE HERO.

However, without the HERO, there is neither Story nor Glory.

Most of our present legislators are COWARDS!

It doesn’t matter if you are a local or an outsider, corruption occurs everywhere. We just have to try harder to check the credentials of candidate that we are voting for or nominating.

Once again I watched the senate make some confirmations yesterday and I have a concern with two of them. I have a problem with Francois I truly feel that he doesn’t have the backing of his staff and at his hearing he didn’t look confident, so I agree with Richards on his statement. The other one is Hill as the chief confirmation I’m turning the pages back in my mind because I remember a statement that he made long ago concerning government workers and now he is in the position to say what the same workers will get as soon as I remember what was said and when. I will revisit my comments on Hill.

Well I watched the session and it appeared to me that Donastorg brings nothing to table other than hot air. I guess this is about one’s perspective and not the having to live by that of another, which it appears is the expectation on this forum. Thank God some of us can think fou ourselves.

  7. Anonymous on August 21, 2009 at 11:53 am

    Yes, thank God for Donastorg.

    The Battle in the Senate:

Whether you look at the session on TV or listen on the radio, you must conclude that one thing is clear: Senate President Hill’s strategy is to “block” Senator Donastorg at every opportunity.

Politically speaking nothing is wrong with that per se; it is the gamesmanship of politics.

The Senate is no church. You “live” or “die” on the floor, and as we can see, it is far from being over!

We all know Senator Donastorg to be a fighter: Remember the “Mighty” Prosser and Vitelco ?

As for White and Dowe, they are serious contenders too. These guys are battle-harden veterans.

In case some of you may have forgotten or have chosen not to appreciate it, both White and Dowe are former Chiefs of their respective departments where the “command and control” of “the troops” have tested their leadership abilities.

These two are leaders of the troops.

Hill on the other hand is another story all together. He reminds me of that “little Corporal of Germany.”

You don’t believe me? Just visualize him with that “little ***** Mustache.”

  9. GRAND FINALE on August 21, 2009 at 4:28 pm

It seem like the henchmen and the governor have total disregards for the public, law and order, and big brother – the United States of America. Right in the eyes of Federal investigators and the world they showed their asses again today.

Now there is clear and INDEFENSIVABLE evidence of the corrupted lawless environment that has plagued our government. These evidences have been conveyed to the world through CIF for many months and today senate grand finale proved to the world the desperate help the people of the United States Virgin Islands has been seeking to rid ourselves of these tyrants.

Through these henchmen own actions and words it is clear that they have absolutely no interest in the law or the people of the United States Virgin Islands. This territory has hit rock bottom and it seem all hope has gone out the window after today’s performances at the Senate. No matter what side of the fence you are on this hearing should have been very alarming to you. These senators are public servants elected by the people and they have totally conducted themselves as though they were behind closed doors.

I didn’t know much about Senator Donastorg prior to today but now I do. This man is truly about the people and this community. Only God can make a man like this that can withstand the on slather of the devils in the senate. God please help the peoples of these United States Virgin Islands. We can go no lower than what we have experienced today.

Stand Firm Senator Donastorg, Stand Firm. May God continue to keep you strong! The community needs you to stand firm. You are the strength of this community. United States of America you are the hope of this community. Please bring an end to this madness now.

  10. Crucians In Focus Web Site to Remain Under Intense Attacks from the de Jongh Propaganda Machine and VI Restore Hope on August 21, 2009 at 5:05 pm

Reports are leaking out again from St. Thomas that this web site will continue to see a surge in propaganda from the de Jongh propaganda machine and VI Restore Hope. Attempts have already been made by the de Jongh propaganda machine and VI Restore Hope to use legitimate users screen names to distort views expressed on this site. These attempts will continue to increase as Federal investigators and the world focus their attention on the United States Virgin Islands.

Sources inside of the de Jongh administration are reporting ongoing preparations for DPW Commissioner Darryl Smalls before his senate hearing on Monday August 24, 2009. Damage control techniques to evade questions regarding MAFOLIEGATE are being drilled by mock committee members to prepare this Commissioner. Agency heads at WAPA and WMA are expected to receive the same preparations prior to going public this coming week to defend the de Jongh administration Alpine Energy Group contract on a local radio talk show.

We have seen the de Jongh administration and VI Restore Hope propaganda machine in action before during the 2006 election campaign.

I may add that I continue to be very impressed with Senator Nellie O’Reilly, who handled herself very well at today’s hearing with the Port Authority.

This St. Croix senator is certain to secure a second term.

    Great Job!

  12. Revelations on August 21, 2009 at 5:44 pm

The Port Authority is a haven for VI Restore Hope. The number 2 in charge of this right wing political action committee is Kenn Hobson Executive Director, VIPA.

Very explosive revelations will be posted about the relationship of this number 2 in charge “Director of Operations VI Restore Hope” and his connections to other entities. Stay tune

  13. POLLSTER HIDDEN AGENDA on August 21, 2009 at 8:22 pm

SEE BELOW AND FIND OUT WHY POLLSTER JOHN BOYD WENT TO SUCH DEGREES TO DISTORT HIS POLLS AGAINST SENATOR DONASTORG DURING THE 2006 ELECTION. THIS MAN HAD A PERSONAL HIDDEN AGENDA.

Nov. 10, 2008 — John Boyd wants the Legislature to amend the law to allow him and his partners to build a standalone casino by Gallows Bay called The Sugar House. Boyd unveiled the plans Monday at The Palms at Pelican Cove, giving out glossy flyers and showing a PowerPoint presentation to 30 or so interested residents and media, answering questions afterward.

“It’s my understanding under the Casino Control Act the casino has to be part of a hotel,” said Raymond J. Williams, chief of staff for Lt. Gov. Gregory R. Francis. “That’s why I need the law changed,” Boyd said.

“Boyd and his partners cannot build a casino unless the law is amended. A casino owner must either be born here or continuously domiciled in the Virgin Islands for at least five years. Boyd has been a St. Croix resident since the early 1980s and easily qualifies himself, but he and his Red Diamond Enterprises partners want that changed, too.”

“If that were actually adhered to, it would mean no bank would lend for the development, because they would not be able to take possession of the property through foreclosure if the borrower defaulted,” Boyd said.

“The last business plan I did was for my wife to open a dry-cleaning business in Sion Farm,” he said. “Now I work for her.”

“Boyd is also known for performing political opinion surveys in the territory during election season.”

IS HE STILL WORKING BEHIND THE SCENE FOR JOHN P. DE JONGH, JR., IN HOPE OF THAT BIG DEAL?

The meeting with IRB in the senate is going on now. One of the lawyers is saying that the back wall in the building was leaking, and there was no water sealer to stop the leak. When it rains, the water settle in the buildin, and no fresh air is coming in. As a result, mold is developing in the building! This is making Ms. Andersen look bad!

  16. DPW Hearing on August 25, 2009 at 10:24 am

Senator Donastorg got right down to business during the DPW hearing despite the henchmen efforts to suppress the MAFOLIEGATE corruption scandal. DPW Commissioner Darryl Smalls at one point during this hearing instructed his employee (Vanterpool) not to cooperate with Senator Donastorg regarding MAFOLIEGATE.

Commissioner Smalls revealed more damaging evidence regarding MAFOLIEGATE during his testimony. Commissioner Smalls is now on record saying that he did not file a police report for the vehicle accident which damaged the security gate at MAFOLIEGATE. The subpoenaed records clearly showed that Commissioner Smalls did submit a change order to repair the damages to the security gate at the Governor’s private estate without any investigation. Senator Donastorg also had the Legislature Post Auditor confirm that the legislature did not authorize any use of public funds for security enhancements to Governor John P. de Jongh, Jr., private estate.

Commissioner Smalls tried to justify the de Jongh administration excessive use of public funds by making reference to post 911 Homeland Security heighten security awareness. That was an fatal error because if the administration was that concern about post 911 Homeland Security heighten security awareness it would have gotten an opinion from United States Homeland Security on the visibility of the first family utilizing it private residence vs. the approved United States Virgin Islands government house facility located at “Catherineburg”. The argument of post 911 Homeland Security heighten security awareness will not withstand scrutiny during the de Jongh administration Department of Interior Inspector General Investigation. The approved United States Virgin Islands government housing facility for this first family remains “Catherineburg” and there is no valid justification for the excessive use of public funds to construct a “Guard Booth”. There were many more revealing evidences of corruption into MAFOLIEGATE made by Commissioner Smalls during his testimony that have been noted by the DOI Inspector General and this community. MAFOLIEGATE is INDEFENSIBLE.

Senate President Louis P. Hill at the end of the DPW hearing chastised Commissioner Smalls and distance himself from the de Jongh administration by saying the 28th legislature do not and did not know what the de Jongh administration had been doing. What the Senate President omitted was that there is documented evidence that his brother-in-law, Senator Carlton Dowe, was personally copied on MAFOLIEGATE correspondence. This community is not stupid and neither are the Feds.

Senator Donastorg, job well done. Stand Firm and keep up the good work on behalf of ALL people of these United States Virgin Islands.

  17. Puzzled on August 25, 2009 at 11:43 am

Of interest: Daily News praised abroad

Interesting quote: “The community here really takes the public service that the newspaper does seriously,” Poinski, 30, says. “The Daily News has the same credibility that newspapers used to have 25 years ago.”

Interesting misinformation: The paper’s paid circulation is about 10,000, but Davis estimates that 60,000 people read it every day. Most island roads are unpaved, precluding home delivery.

    Link to article: http://www.ajr.org/Article.asp?id=4805

They obviously haven’t heard about Mafoliegate.

  18. Anonymous on August 25, 2009 at 11:57 am

And how does young Poinski know what credibility newspapers had 30 years ago? Most island roads are not unpaved. The Daily News lost and never regained credibility after Prosser bought it.

  19. Dirt Cheap on August 25, 2009 at 11:59 am

Puzzled, the Daily Nuisance was bought at a very dirt cheap price. No wonder its not worth the paper its printed on today. This news paper looks more like a used car sale flier.

“Ten years later, Prosser’s company, Innovative Communication Corp., went bankrupt, and in June 2008 Pennsylvania-based Times-Shamrock Communications bought the paper for $6.25 million.”

  20. T on August 25, 2009 at 12:04 pm

Right now, the things Times Shamrock has been doing to the Daily News makes Prosser look like an angel!
