The Time Is Now

July 28, 2009

Dear Sen. Neville James,

The time is now.James,%20Neville

There is no need to wait any longer. Schedule the committee hearings. Start the testimony so we can settle once and for all the full extent of the abuse of power this Administration appears to have committed against the people of the United States Virgin Islands.

You issued subpoenas. The deadline to respond, we understand, is 5 p.m. today, July 28. You should have documents. Truth is, you could start the sessions with information from the documents that have been posted on this website. You know who should testify and you know what to ask. What else do you need?

You called the situation “indefensible” and said you’d convene the hearings at the appropriate time.

Well the only thing more “indefensible” than the Administrations’ apparent actions would be to delay these hearings one moment longer.

The time is now.

Sincerely,

The People of the United States Virgin Islands

Yes, but obviously its expedient for the Governor to sleep with Barshinger now. Politics make strange bedfellows.

Sen. James, don’t be an idiot and rush to hold any hearing. We heard you this week and you are in the driver’s seat. Ingore Foncie and take your time finishing off DeJongh. Make it long and painful. STX in control.

HOPEFULLY EVERYONE WILL GET A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF WHY THE VIRGIN ISLANDS DAILY NEWS HAS SUNK SO LOW INTO THE DEPTHS OF SILENCE DURING THESE MOST HISTORIC PUBLIC OFFICIALS CORRUPTION SCANDALS IN VIRGIN ISLANDS HISTORY!

This is George Lynett, Jr., Mr. THUMB UP.

George Lynett, Jr., the in experienced boy wonder, purchases the Virgin Islands Daily at auction, REALLY? OR WAS IT DONE PRIOR TO THE AUCTION THROUGH SOME LOCAL STICKY FINGERS:

Pennsylvania-based Times-Shamrock Commu-nications announced Tuesday that it has contracted to acquire Daily News Publishing Co. after submitting the winning bid during an auction held on Monday.

“Times-Shamrock Communications is thrilled to be the successful bidder in the auction for The Daily News,” Matthew Haggerty, Times-Shamrock’s general manager of interactive media, said on Tuesday.

“We were impressed with the journalistic standards of The Daily News and look forward to continuing that great tradition,” Haggerty said.

I will believe it when I see it. Only four out of 15 of our senators seem to be operating with any sense of integrity or autonomy.

Insider Stuff. The governor is looking to take people down with him should things not get any better. Embarassing pictures of his gubernatorial nemesis will not be held back until 2010 as previously planned.

Where do we get these stories from?…Senator James is hardly able to tie his own Shoe String much less organize a majority. I would be my last dollar he would be unsuccessful in organiziing a majority. Mr. “Indefensible” is still trying to decide how he is going to call a committee investigative hearing to address the Governor’s indiscretions; public funds being spent on his private residence. We are not hearing anything from the rest of the St. Croix Senators. What is going on?

  13. Stella on August 4, 2009 at 7:38 pm

I agree with you Colette, all his interest seems to be at the Randall Doc James race track or the casino betting on horse races…..

  14. Difficult Dilemma on August 4, 2009 at 7:53 pm

Senator James has a very difficult dilemma. How does he approach a corrupt senate president to get his approval to hold public hearings on the governor? The senate president sets the agenda and tone for the senate. I don’t believe Senator Hill is interested in anyone but himself at the moment. Senator Hill has very serious conflicts of interest issues to account for. Senator Hill’s actions are INDIFENSIBLE. He places his interest and the people of Dominica interest before the people of the Virgin Islands who he was elected to serve.

Senator James, either you take the senate presidency now or get on with your hearings on the governor. The community will support you if you make a public appeal to insist that your committee be permitted to proceed on the governor.

Further delays on your pending decision will only decrease your opinion rating in the public. To put either Governor de Jongh or Senator Hill’s interest before the people of the Virgin Islands or yours is ill advisable.

It is your legacy that’s at stake. The governor and Senator Hill has already determined their fates.

Your time is up. The clock has stopped ticking.

Sen Dowe seems to be feeling the pressure from crucian senators during GERS session. Is this a preview of what’s to come in the de Jongh hearings… the crucian senators are looking sharpe and ready to go. Good job senators.

Surprisingly “Mr. Stupid GEEK” himself, Craig Barshinger didn’t ask much or any technical questions. Mr. Stupid GEEK must have been experiencing technical difficulties during the GERS hearing. Go Crucians.

Speaking of which, Barshinger is having a town hall meeting tonight at the CAHS Auditorium @ 7pm.
