Indefensible!

July 21, 2009

Encarta, the online dictionary, defines the adjective “Indefensible” as follows:

1. permitting no excuse: too bad or blameworthy to be in any way justified or excused as in indefensible conduct

 2. unable to be protected: incapable of being defended from attack

 3. invalid: not based on fact, proof, or sound reasoning, as in an indefensible argument.

At a Town Hall Meeting last Saturday on St. Croix, Senator Neville James used the above defined adjective to state his opinion on what he’s seen so far on the apparent use of public funds for the enhancement of the private residence of Governor John de Jongh, Jr. (audio link below)

Sounds reasonable to us. And Senator James, your fellow legislator, Senator Adlah “Foncie” Donastorg, has provided an excellent list of potential testifiers for the hearing you’ve said your Committee will convene “at the appropriate time.”

Senator Donastorg, there is reason why some of us dont hold you in high regard. How could you submit a list of names to Senator James about the governor’s SECURITY reasons for improving his personal residence and not include the Chief of Security on the list? Stop exposing yourself Senator. If you want to be governor, negligence of this nature is UNACCEPTABLE. Come On, FOCUS!!!!!!!!

    Daily News Reader,

You FOCUS! Didn’t you see/listen to the senate hearing yesterday with the Virgin Islands IG? Sen Hill asked the VI IG if he was going to audit the senate, the IG responded, YES, we are going to conduct a JOINT audit, with the Department of Interior IG. The ground work is being laid by the Federal Government to get to the bottom of all this misuse of government funds. The money trail beings at the senate. We all know about the reprogramming of public funds to fix up the governors’ private residence. These experts at Interior will know exactly who to go after. Senator Donastorg’s list can be expanded at any time.

    For example, P3, INC,

Review the senate hearing video from yesterday, Sen Hill had looked stunned when he heard about the joint audit. He should be because he also have a lot of questions to answer about his spending of public funds.

The Calvary (DOI IG) is on its way.

You certainly won’t read about this in the Daily News.

Reader, FOCUS! Stay tune to Crucians In Focus, we will keep you, Reader, FOCUS!

SENATORS!!!! When are you going to investigate “MAFOLIEGATE”???? (name coined by Jimmy O’Bryan this morning) “in due time” is not acceptable. There are too many important issues in limbo as it is. How can we have effective government during these critical times with the administration’s integrety in question?

  5. Lord Send Help on July 22, 2009 at 10:24 am

This investigation also needs to include the use of property being leases by Waste Mngt Auth. at Demerara 1A&1B and is being used by Dejongh re-election campaign headquarters. He needs to move his campaign headquarters from Demerara 1A & 1B which is being leases and rent is being paid by tax payers money since Oct. 01, 2008. The lease agreement is posted and can be seen on demmansay.com website.

Wow Persona…you right…what a scandal…”MAFOLIEGATE”. I wonder if calling it “MOFOLIGATE” is name calling or slandering. I hope CIF don’t censor you for telling they truth.

Another big scandal coming soon to rock they VI. Dem man say it’s going to be a VI version of a Capital Hill scandal called SEX, LIES, AND VIDEO TAPES.

  7. James on July 22, 2009 at 11:00 am

Persona, correction, those where Jimmy O’Bryan words. I hope CIF don’t censor Jimmy. We all would really be in trouble for listening to Jimmy in they morning.

Jokes on top of jokes again. Legislature is now singing Kumbayah Meh Lord. Comical for real.

  9. James on July 22, 2009 at 11:46 am

I don’t think anybody in the Legislature is singing right now. They all are too busy running for cover because DOI IG is about to knock at their doors.

The only singing you can hear right now is the community crying out for JUSTICE!

    Nice try.

    Daily News Reader,

I feel really sorry for you. It is so obvious you are bias and very well planted here to put a spin on these issues. For example; I reviewed the list you referred to and one thing became obvious to me, the Governor and House Cheif of Staff was invited. Would it not be prudent for the Governor and House Cheif of Staff to bring along with them the Cheif of Security? But then again, we don’t expect you to render a fair opinion especially when someone is manipulating your thoughts. Once again, here we are witnessing you and others trying to shift the focus by attacking the messenger. I am not here to distort facts like some do, but hope we can put the facts presented in perspective. And so far the only facts we see coming to light is by Senator Donastorg. So do we ostracise him for these actions? Lets be real….

Neville James was just on Mario’s show again denying that he knew that the money was reprogrammed to pay for MAFOLIEGATE. He didn’t say when he would call for an investigation. Maybe he is making bargains and deals behind the scenes.

In listening to the budget hearing for the Office of Management and Budget, I can’t express how disappointed I was to hear the weak lines of questioning! What a disappointment! The Director spoke of all her new hirings and still more to come and it did not even draw a rise from not one of the Senators! No wonder the Government is going bankrupt!

I find it strange that our local Republicans are so defensive of this Democratic governor. If President Obama was involved in a conflict of interest that benefitted himself or had misappropriated government funds, I can imagine that the mainland Republicans would have a field day.

TOGETHER WE CAN!!!!!!!! HAAAAAAAAA HAH HAH HA HAA HA HA HA HAAA!!!!!!!! That’s a good one!

  15. Persona Non Grata on July 30, 2009 at 8:16 am

Maybe “TOGETHER WE CAN” only referred to a successful campaign effort, not to a productive administration.
