If the position of this administration’s supporters is that ideas are not welcome unless they are grammatically correct, I will have to conclude that we are in serious trouble. Of course, it’s likely the issue of grammar is nothing more than a distraction.

I get a kick out of the reaction to my comments. People are listening. It is great to be able to influence minds and stimulate discussions.

Let’s be critical, but give constructive criticism.

It is so easy to find faults and make personal attacks.How interested are you in joining the literacy task force? There are many other posts on this site that need to be corrected. We could begin with the drafted constitution. How many grammatical errors can you spot in this grossly flawed document?

Again, I appreciate your input. Focus more on the message, though, and not be too trigger-happy to shoot the messenger.

Once more, in the first sentence of the third paragraph, you have omitted the present-perfect tense (have) between the words (I) and (always.)

You can not miss it. It is the introductory phrase, a prepositional phrase to be exact because it begins with the preposition, as, and ends with the plural noun, rules.
