Note To Our Readers
It’s election time so it’s time to repeat this message to our bloggers.
And the message is simple:
Comments that include name calling, profanity, references to personal relationships (real or imagined), sexual activities or orientation, undocumented criminal activity and other behavior of individuals that is unrelated to the topic being addressed will be removed from the site.
The volume and quality of most of the comments posted here are stellar – clear, direct and on point. It’s the kind of interactive discussion we value above all else.
But if a comment crosses the line – and if you’ve been here for a while you know that line is extremely flexible – then it will be pulled.
The purpose of this website is to keep Virgin Islanders informed on topics that affect us, and to provide a forum for discussion on those topics. All views are welcome, provided they address the topic at hand, and spirited disagreement is encouraged.
Some will call this censorship – and we are prepared for that. That is not our intent. It is our hope that the majority of our readers understand that to maintain the credibility of the site as a fact-based destination for information and credible commentary, some controls must be in place.
Carry on.
Thank you.
The Administrators at Cruciansinfocus.com

I am glad that u guys are doing this. I enjoy reading and being informed through this website. There are people who want to discredit this website and make people believe that what is being noted here is not true by creating confusion. Thank You CIF for doing what your doing.
Ditto!
Thank you CIF! Had it not been for CIF, we, the public, would not know what is going on!
If what you say you’re doing is real, then Collette’s a goner. Thank You CIF.
Well said, CIF. I too fully concur.
It is about the message, not the messengers(s).
Speaking about the message, I just visited Demmansay.com; I had not been there in awhile. I must admit that they seemed to have “regained” their focus in the “right direction.”
If truth be told, without them, despite a few glitches, where else would the body of lies and deceit be unclothed?
To both sites, keep up the good work!
I can hear the current administration and its right wing political action committee is declaring victory over CIF for blinking & changing course. Hi-fives can be heard slapping throughout the governors private residence which is protected by a public funded high tech security system.
Administrator, can you please clarify this statement. Can we or can we not tell the truth at your site. If we can no longer use names then you have to remove all entries that mentions Governor de Jongh. I’m confused.
“On the other hand comments that include name calling, profanity, references to personal relationships (real or imagined), sexual activities or orientation and other behavior of individuals that is unrelated to the topic being addressed will be removed from the site.”
Administrator,
I agree.
You really got us confuse. You still got up the thing them referencing the AG personal relationship.
Please tell we clearly what you mean by on the other hand. You created a lot of confusion.
Thanks in advance for your clarification.
James and !:
what word didn’t you understand?
Hey Daily News Reader,
I am very much here and willing to contribute as usual to a most positive discussion unlike you. As we await some more pressing information and issues we are certainly elated CIF adopted the initiative to restrict such poor contributions especially from those who disguise themselves under different alias. I would hope you find solace in this latest development and refrain from your personal attacks which obviously is driven by a personal agenda. Let not the bias mind influences continue to distort your ability to be an independent thinker. This all said, lets continue our fruitful discussions and add substance to this forum.
CIF going soft right when the action is heating up. Well I Never…………
Dear James and ! and Anonymous (and all others needing clarification),
Thanks for the feedback and we’re happy to clarify.
First and foremost, you can (and should) continue to expect to see and read the truth on this site and should continue to contribute the same. We have not removed one single document pointing to the still unexplained use of public funds by Governor John deJongh, Jr.,on his private residence or any documents signed by members of his administration that have not been explained to our (and your) satisfaction. And we have no intention of doing so.
Clearly, based on this entry, it should also be established that there is NO restriction on the use of names, only on the non-productive and pejorative name-calling that was beginning to be commonplace in some comments posted here.
James, we have discussed your comment relating to the article concerning the Attorney General. In our view, this is a matter of public record and appears to us to be a clear conflict of interest as it would be with any public official (elected or appointed) who is accused of being in violation of a standard or law his office is sworn to uphold and enforce.
And finally, but possibly most importantly, any hand clapping or high fiving going on at the Governor’s private residence (or anywhere else for that matter) is ill-advised and grossly premature.
As mentioned in the note, we expected some pushback from our stance and welcome all feedback on this topic. However, we stand firm on the position. Our role as communicators will not be enhanced by encouraging dialogue that strays from the issues. If anything, that sort of distraction is welcomed by those under scrutiny, as it deflects the harsh light of accountability away from their actions – we’ve got to be smarter than that.
In any case, thanks for the comments and keep them coming.
We still believe the best is yet to come.
?
CIF, do not let them derail you. You are on course!
You can easily read “between the lines” of most of the previous comments. They want you to stop this website from exposing the truth.
Actually, they are very much upset and displeased that despite all their efforts, the issue of “public money” to enrich “private property” would not blow away.
It has been said that Senator N. James, who was at the Saturday meeting referred to the issue as, “indefensible.”
I agree.
To CIF Website Administrator… well done and well said. Thank you.
Bull Foot Soup –
What about the conversation re: the Homeless? Perhaps the administrator might open up a new link where we can dialog on that and other social justice issues…
What did CIF Website Administrator say: “We still believe the best is yet to come”
I just listened to the Legislature’s Budget Hearing, and I heard when Senator Hill asked our local Inspector General about the pending “audit of the legislature.“
The local Inspector General gave the senator an answer he did not expect: the senator was informed that the audit would be a “joint-audit” involving BOTH the local Inspector General and the Department of Interior’s Inspector General.
It was clear to me that the senator appeared uncomfortable with the words, “joint-audit” and “Department of Interior Inspector General.”
This means neither he nor anyone else can affect the “direction” or the “outcome” of the audit, especially by the Department of Interior. Not even “Dowe Now.”
EyesWideOpen, good thing man. Keep us informed. By the way, you know what happen to the thing on here about they AG? I can’t find it anymore. I use to see thing about Hill too I can’t find them anymore. You know what happen?
St. Clair,
it’s on page 3.

Thanks Pandora. What about they think on hill. Earlier I saw a post # 12 about hill from Abused Women Advocate now it’s gone. You know what page that on? It seems like you can’t find anything about hill anymore. Some body had mention last week about hill 15 grand now I can’t find nothing. Can you find anything on hill?
From time-to-time we criticize. When appropriate we also should recognize appropriate fiscal management.
Senator Hill has decided to obtain 15 used 2005 GMC Envoys for the Legislature, from Property and Procurment, which once belong to the Police Department.
Of the 15 vehicles, reportedly 10 will be used on St. Croix. This is commendable.
