It Should Never Have Come To This

July 7, 2009

In the absence of any credible explanation for the now documented $337,000 spent on the Governor’s private residence, Senator Adlah “Foncie” Donastorg has called for Governor John deJongh Jr. to “apologize to the people of the Virgin Islands for
misleading them in regard to improvements made at your private residence.”

In a separate action the 28th Legislature’s Financial Services, Infrastructure & Consumer Affairs voted in favor of Donastorg’s motion to subpoena records to include bids, bid schedules, contracts and supplemental contracts related to repairs to deJongh’s Estate Mafolie home.

It should never have come to this but since it has, let’s get some answers.

Yes, it is getting scarier by the minute. This is terrible for all of us.

Same names, same games. I clearly remember the run-off election of 2006 when Mapp ran a series of “This is what we call the same” ads. He also warned us that the Democratic Party was plotting to continue making our lives miserable. We can’t say we weren’t warned. While I have issues with Mapp, I would have gladly taken him over deJongh. Donastorg also did the best at answering questions in my opinion. DeJongh’s rambling during those debates was evasion at it’s best, a trait Dr. Spampinato shared, and now that we have even larger problems facing us, the solutions are stuck on paper…in the Governor’s 2006 platform. I will be emailing a copy of this platform to Crucians in Focus and hopefully they can post it to remind us of what are now clearly empty promises.

What a contrast to the 2006 campaign when deWolf had a camp full of enthusiastic supporters. Now he must threaten his supporter/government employees with the loss of their jobs if they do not “Work” for his re-election. In the past 3 years, our arrogant Gov has shown his true colors by treating those same supporters with contempt and disrespect. That well-oiled political machine will be squeaking along the campaign trail constantly distracted by the newest headlines of deWolf’s wrong doing.
Take heart people, even if you have to pretend to work for him. YOU DON’T HAVE TO VOTE FOR HIM WHEN YOU GET IN THE BOOTH.

Angry, I got a heads-up that this is exactly what was going to happen. It is like that carrot dangling on a stick in front of the rabbit. We know he hired a few thousand employees, but those are just a few in comparison to the tens of thousands of people registered to vote. A lot of the people he hired are dead-beats so I personally await next November, for that clean slate! The again, he may not make it till then.

This site used to be so exciting. But now it is becoming BORING. Why is the SAME information being posted over and over?

  6. BREAKING NEWS: Crucians In Focus Web Site to Come Under Attack from de Jongh Propaganda Machine on July 12, 2009 at 3:29 pm

Reports are leaking out from St. Thomas that this web site will see a surge in propaganda from the de Jongh propaganda machine. Attempts have already been made by the de Jongh propaganda machine to use legitimate users screen names to distort views expressed on this site. These attempts will continue to increase in the coming days.

We have seen this machine in action before. Remember this:

^ hahahaha ^ because it is the same information. its an anti-de Jongh Francis administration website. This website does not provoke thought into the well-being of Virgin Islanders or discuss various issues in the Virgin Islands. Michael Springer, Jr. controls the forum by posting the same information ALL the time.

  8. crucian4life on July 12, 2009 at 3:48 pm

why is BREAKING NEWS: Crucians In Focus Web Site to Come Under Attack from de Jongh Propaganda Machine posting the same thing all time? and they say i’m trying to distract the forum?

  9. SMOKING MIRROR'S GANG on July 12, 2009 at 6:37 pm

    Hey, wait a minute.

Didn’t the Governor’s criminal contractor (Koenig) at WMK “Article of Organization “say his LLC was formed in February 2005? 4 years ago…

    http://cruciansinfocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/contractor_liscensing_info.pdf

Koenig “WMK” web site gives the illusion as though this LLC has been in business for over 30 years!

You think this guy would have learned after going to prison.

Wow! This is who installed the security stuff at the Governor’s private residence with public funds!

WELCOME TO SMOKING MIRRORS “de Wolf” GANG!

In action is not an option.

Your up coming highly anticipated confirmation hearing of the Inspector General will be closely watched and recorded. Our community expects you to do your job and ask the tough questions to the IG regarding, if confirmed, well he pursue justice as he did in the Schneider Regional Medical Center investigation on St. Thomas.

The Governor will have to, in his own words, answer to allegations of corruption. Your performances during this hearing will help the community to determine whom among you will remain in the Senate after the 2010 elections.

  12. JUST IN: Governor Propaganda Machine Attempts to Switch Focus on July 13, 2009 at 4:54 pm

The de Jongh administration propaganda machine will announce that the “Swine Flu” virus has reached a new high in the territory to switch public focus away from his use of public funds at his private residence.

  13. CallMe Dense on July 14, 2009 at 10:54 am

Here we go again! The SAME information over and over and over. But guess what, whoever is doing it (I think it’s deliberate), people are still going to stay informed. KEEP GOING, CRUCIANS IN FOCUS.

  14. Not so fast, on July 14, 2009 at 10:58 am

CallMe Dense, that is exactly why Governor de Jongh needs to come before the people of the Virgin Islands and tell us, from his mouth, what he did and did not do.

These beloved Virgin Islands need to be able to move forward knowing it’s not led by criminal.

CallMe Dense, can you tell your buddys in the administration to have the governor come forward and talk to the people.

We are waiting… and will continue to speculate until he, and only he, breaks his silence.

  15. Colette on July 16, 2009 at 1:22 am

    Not so fast,

What will the Governor come out and say? Oh, it wasn’t his fault? Did he not make a public statement and say, “no public funds” were used to make any improvements on his private residence? I guess he is calling all of us dense.

  16. Benjamin Franklin's wisdom on July 17, 2009 at 12:03 pm

Wise tidbits from an old sage to Mr. Julito Francis, Daryl Smalls, Lynn Maduro, Mel Vanterpool, Jean Greaux. REMEMBER who went to jail in WATERGATE..A criminal investigation is underway. Do not forget the seven members of President Nixon’s inner circle who went to jail for conspiracy, obstruction of justice and purgery.Nixon was pardoned. STOP LYING AND TELL THE WHOLE TRUTH. Mel Vanterpool dont even try the homeland security angle now to get yourself caught up in this mess. You are the governor’s former brother in law it will not be credible and back dating letters will only get you in trouble. As for Jean Greaux it is only a matter of time before dewolf accuses you of causing this mess and pushes you overboard. You have lost your credibility as a press spokesman and your reputation is shot with the people. Stop lying and save yourself. PS Dont study Roosevelt David or David Jones nobody respects them anymore and their attempts to convince the public the senators approved the massive spending on dewolf’s house will only cause the senators who voted for the Dowe amendment to get more hot and deny it more loudly.

  17. Colette on July 29, 2009 at 11:12 am

Do you guys realize so much has happened with a Senate that has only been in office 7 months. An administration that has only been in office 2 1/2 years. God help us because I can’t imagine what will evolve next. For some apparent reason, when the names of David Jones and Roosevelt David pop up in the same sentence it involves some level of havoc. I heard one of my crucian neighbors once say, “when these two man around, the first thing that comes to mind is……..run like hell.” Things are getting crazier and crazier by the minute. Let’s see what else comes to the surface.

You can say what you want about Sen. Donastorg. At least he has the guts to stand up to the governor about the way he is taking advantage of the VI people. The majority of the senators are made up of YES people who will do whatever the governor says. Whatever he does next year, he will have my support.
