I’ve been following this site and reading the postings over these past days. I found this particular thread to be quite interesting. I heard Senator Hill dismiss in the presence of some people at a social affair that he did not know this young lady. I voted for Senator Hill this past election however to hear him tell a bold face lie leaves to believe this may very well be common ground for him. I happen to have traveled to St. Lucia and witnessed Senator Hill and his staffer in St. Lucia with this lady. For the record, I know her from working at Windward Passage and happen to know her on a personal level. I am sure Senator Hill can never deny these alegations posted here because I can attest to them. I can only wonder if Government Employees recognize this salary increase of a classified employee over all is really a violation of the collective bargaining agreement. I saw this posted and realize this is really a crazy administration who utilizes its authority to pray on defenseless workers. I would have perhaps still voted for Senator Hill but when I heard him tell this bold face lie, it became apparent he did not recognize that perhaps silence would have still preserve some level of intergrity in the eyes of those who know this accusition to be factual. All I can say is “viva st. Lucia” Senator Hill, you have no shame.

Concern,

Your comments made me ponder a bit: I had not given much thought to the gubernatorial race because it is too early and because my focus has been on the recent mess of the re-organized Senate Majority.

However, I will say that the team of Mapp/Donastorg has been described by many as an unbeatable, dream-team combination.

Based on my political analysis, that team reminds me of MICHAEL JORDON WITH THE BALL two inches away from the basket, HOW CAN HE MISS!

I guess in the next up-coming months we will start shifting our focus away from the small-time affairs of the SENATE to the big-time affairs of GOVERNMENT HOUSE.

Having said that, I am immediately jolted with the reality that this up-coming race for government house will be the meanest, dirtiest, and most underhanded, race ever.

In politics, the spoils go to the victor; but the spanking goes to the vanquished.

Win or lose; there is no draw!

I wonder why no one is mentioning anything about the witless, misinformed and sadly comical Lynn "Malaprop" Millin Maduro, Commissioner of P&P. She hasn't passed the bar exam (because she doesnt know jack), but can call herself an attorney through some obscure law that allows you to do so if you work for the government - talk about lowering standards - we are really in a sad state of affairs!

According to the Governor, who I also think is a blundering a-hole, Commissioners in his administration have been given the authority to validate their employee's NOPAS without his signature (or so he says, but we all know he is really an insecure control freak).

According to my sources, Ms Millin is nothing more than a little dirty hood rat with a college degree and is a main political operative of the Governor who gets involved in taking care of his things that require prompt "attention."

Ms. Millin has been known to use that very same power to unjustly disrupt the lives hard-working civil servants in their positions across government. As the old adage goes, "what goes around comes around" - Ms Millin, start studying for that bar exam you've failed three times already, because you're guaranteed to be flat on your ass once this administration is terminated. Perhaps His Majesty the Governor will pull some strings with his private sector operatives and hook you up for your faithful service. The people are watching.

I agree!!!! that the wolf in sheep clothing is losing his costume. All these raises or should I say pay off’s in time of crisis. I have been in Government for almost 20 years and my salary from start to now has not increased $20,000 but here comes a favor or should I say a pay off in a salary increase that surpasses what I have established in 20 years. Shame, shame, shame!!! And I know there are many of you out there that can relate to what I am saying.
We had a choice of good solid leadership back in 2006 between Kenneth Mapp and Sen. Adlah “Foncie” Donastorg either would have been a better choice than the current administration.
We also had a choice in 2008 with the senatorial race and we failed again. What are we going to do in the up and coming elections? Well my pic for Gov. would be Mapp and Lt Gov would be Sen Donastorg or vice versa. They both have what it takes to run these islands they both want transparency in government. I say this because the bottom line is that when elections time comes, we must make a choice; we must vote and let your voice be heard. If you don’t then really and truly you have nothing to complain about because your vote wasn’t counted.
I am a Cruzan so I can’t pick or delete any of the St Thomas Senators but I totally agree in cleaning house in St Croix.

deWolf's sheep clothing is coming apart at the seams. Soon all of St. Croix will see him for who he really is.
Look around the only people that are prospering are the already rich. We were warned by his opponents that he would eat all the goodies in the "peoples basket" and save none for Grandma.
The union should walk to every negotiation with a copy of that NOPA.

I only hope that all the government employees see what is going on. this woman probably does not even have a high school diploma. what about in house promotion, what about the employees who are working there for many years, should they not be considered for the position.WHAT happened to the union, are they going to allow this to go on? IF this was on ST. CROIX i bet you the government would have shut down. HILL and his friend should be singing GOD BLESS AMERICA every day of the week, this would of never happened on DOMINICA OR ST. LUCIA. ALL WHAT IS HAPPENING WE MUST BLAME IT ON JOHN deWOLF.

Whomever filled out the paperwork on the hiring freeze form should go back to school and learn how to spell. 'Functins' ????? 'Coordinationin' ?????
But then again, our government does not hire the brightest and the best.......they hire the relatives and the friends, don't they????
And the lady who got the increase probably didn't 'do nothing' to warrant it.......shout out to Hill on her performance abilities????

I don't normally participate in these types of forums but was compelled to render just a few facts about this employee at PMP. While I am not a fan of Foncie, I find it quite disgraceful that both Hector and L.O.L would try to discredit him for something that is totally true. I happen to work at Property and Procurement and know this young lady personally. She did indeed recieve an hefty increase for doing absolutely nothing. I find this rather disturbing and insulting to those of us who have slaved for years. This lady was recently employed and happens to be a classified employee. I would venture to ask, whether or not Louis Hill will ever deny his connection. So for Hector and LOL, please do your research before you make these statements. Your statements are obviously bias and malicious at best. Try calling the employees at Central Warehouse and ask for their opinions. This is not about Foncie, its about creating a morale problem within a Department that house good hardworking people.
