As the Chairperson for the Committee on Education, Youth and Culture, first-term Senator Janette Millin-Young has received more notoriety for her travel preferences than for any substantive actions to address the glaring issues in our educational system.
Thought of initially as one who would quietly follow, Millin-Young has shown recent faint glimmers of enlightenment, but our jury is still out on where she will fall as we enter a phase where all elected officials will be called upon to take a stand – on one side of the line or the other.
But for now, it’s your opinion we’re interested in. If the election was held today…
As many of you heard recently, CIF President Michael Springer, at left, delivered the first in a series of radio announcements that will target specific issues and offer analysis on our most pressing concerns.
The feedback on the comments was extremely positive, so CIF will sponsor then as often as possible, and we thank those of you who have already donated! But airtime costs money and we're seeking your help.
If you'd like to help keep our voices on the air, please donate whatever you can using the PayPal button below. We thank you in advance for your support.
Be sure to click on the link below to see the latest iReport on our crippling corruption and scroll down to the comments. A wolverine posting under the name of "Bornyah" is trying to tell the world that the information that's getting some widespread attention is just "half-truth" from "disgruntled" people.
Nice try, Keep on reading and posting people. And send these links to everyone you know!
This past weekend, one of our CIF bloggers started a campaign to post the stories of our discontent on CNN iReports. If you scroll through the blogs from the past three days, you will see that this campaign has grown some very long legs in a very short time.

Excuse me Repo, you running for senator again? Because I need to know who I’m campaigning AGAINST. Please let us know ASAP.
I guess the same senators will be back. The electorate are stupid enough to fall for their tricks.
I would vote for Michael Springer if he runs again. Why should he be less trusted than the present senators? Let’s give him a chance. If he messes up, you could prove me wrong that he’ll be a better senator than the ones we now have. What have they done for you , lately?
Only the uninformed vote for frauds like Michael Springer Jr. If he runs again, he’s should do so as a non-Democrat. His sad performance in the Democratic primary in 2008 was embarassing given how much money he spent trying to win voters over. If you’re going to spend that much, at the very least make it to November for crying out loud.
