Why are you being ignored? If there was any validity to this charge, wouldn’t the IRS have already launched an investigation. My suggestion is to send the St. Avis and the Senate a copy of the document.Let’s see where this is leading to.

That document appears to be valid to me.

I agree the document appears valid. So what? Have you heard that the senator is being investigated? There has been no report about this issue from legitimate media.I am still waiting for the conclusion to this fascinating, shocking story.

Let me say that I am puzzled, because I understand that as part of the process for becoming a senatorial candidate, you cannot have unpaid, unfiled taxes.

If so, how was this person allowed to become a candidate and what the hell could he EVER tell anyone about business/financial planning & budgeting/economic development, etc etc.

As a taxpayer, I am appalled that someone could be given the opportunity to represent us while we are paying taxes and he hasnt filed or paid in a decade.

This guy has one huge set of brass balls…

In addition to being a purported tax cheat, he’s also at the center of a scandal in which there is heavy documentation in favor of the DEFENDANT (Mosler) that Mr. James did indeed make the gubbment’s money disappear AND in his own sworn testimony, James admits to having spent the money.

I dont know about anyone else, but Im sure I’d be under the hot lights at the Inspector General and FBI offices being interrogated if this were me!

Again, as I continue to say – nothing here will ever change. We have a bunch of crooks and liars in office and will continue to have a bunch of crooks and liars in the future – its just what we do.

Trust me, if James is busted for tax evasion and has to go to jail, there will still be a bunch of people, in spite of a mountain of evidence, claiming injustice/racism/conspiracy- you get the picture.

Somehow, we always tend to defend those that are dead guilty just because we know them, feel sorry for them, etc. For our society to change, we MUST break this cycle, especially with elected leaders who are sworn to the privilege of representing ALL OF US in this humble community.

If he did it, he should face the consequences, period. AND if he has a shred of decency and dignity in his body, he should resign his office IMMEDIATELY. How can you be a member of the first branch of government whose primary purpose is to fund the operations of government when you are not paying your own taxes?!?!?!?!?!

If he can get away with this, then we should all be able to go to IRB and say “I’ll file and pay my taxes when I’m good and ready, thank you very much.”

This appears to be a senatorial conundrum. The VI Senator is the arena for crooks, cheaters & liars. Why is the title honorable used for these scum bags?

A bunch of honorable crooks, liars, adulterers and the like. Definitely not Honorable Senators.

I don’t normally participate in these kind of forums but I have a question I would like to post; Regarding Senator Patrick Sprauve, can he not be prosecuted for attempting to defraud the Legislature? Was it not Senator Hansen and others who tried to defraud the Government? I just spoke with a Ava Penn, Former Director of Business Office for the Legislature, and she indicated Senator Sprauve had attempted this in the last legislature and when not successful he tried to get it by Senator Donastorg. Interesting enough, both Senators Neville James or Patrick Hill have commented on this which makes me feel they condone this time of action. Are they not attempting to conceal information from the public? I can now say, I am not a fan of Senator Donastorg but this may have been a tragic mistake removing him. We now have the wolves guarding the chickens. Replacing Donastorg with Dowe, oh my God…..I don’t live in St. Thomas but I remember my cousin telling me of Senator Dowe’s money hungry grabs. And by the way, was he not indicted once and got off on a technicality? Way to go Senator Neville James, your judgement is as good as a ram goat.

brent this is what we have going on in the VI. it is very unfortunite, when there is so called leaders involved in crminal activity and law enforcement does nothing about it. I wonder why james mcall is still police commissioner,he might know to much about the wrong doing that is going in this government so they cant move him. this complete government needs to be audited.the feds should come in and lock down this government without telling anyone what they are doing. then when it is over we would have a clear picture of how corrupt this government is.

Who is brave enough to expose these bandits on the public airwaves? I’ll like for someone to call the rascal talk show and bring up these issues. The rascal is now working as legal counsel for the 28th Legislature.I will write in Micky Mouse as a candidate next time. Why do we continue to put into the Senate these dishonest people? Just because they are native, it does not mean that they will look out for us.

You shall know a tree by the fruits it bears: RASCALS and BANDITS.

Donastorg must have known what he was getting into when he decided to join the Demorats. If not,he knows now. I wonder if he still thinks he’s one of them.

    FYI
Any ordinary citizen/resident can call on the Federal Inspector General to investigate wrong doing in the gov.

I am really astonished a Senator namely Wayne James can be serving in Public Office with a such a track record of evading taxes. Just the other day, two nominees had to withdraw their names from nomination before the Senate. What kind of standards do we promote here in the Virgin Islands? Senator James is just the wrong type of person in office. He may do anything to secure a way of paying his taxes. Is he not even more vuneralble that the rest? What a mistake.
